These are the last two qualifiers for the first LotV monthly finals! Players from the Archon Mode tournament will both receive points individually to participate in the monthly finals.
[b]Account Names: You must play under an account with your proper ID. You cannot play on a barcode/smurf. If you only have access to a smurf, disclose your main ID and rank to your opponent before starting your match. Barcodes cannot participate in the tournament.
[b]Manners: Personal threats, chat/pause spamming, excessive cursing/insults that go beyond tasteful trash talk should be reported with evidence provided to the admin. Verified cases will result in a month long ban from Lycan League. Minor offenses such as pausing before leaving or unprovoked rude behavior will result in smaller penalties such as point deductions, single tournament bans, etc. All of this is at the discretion of the admins and Lycan.
Complaints: If you have an issue that requires admin attention, do not take it to social media until the issue has been resolved by Lycan League staff. Doing so will result in points penalties and/or disqualifications for both parties (assuming the accused it guilty).
Veto system: 3 Vetoes per player then decide map order as following: P1 Veto P2 Veto P1 Veto P2 Veto P1 Map 1 P2 Map 2 P1 Map 3
Map Pool:
Coda LE Echo LE Orbital Shipyard Cactus Valley LE Iron Fortress LE Leralik Crest Runs of Seras
In Broodwar, Blizzard hosted a beta tournament where a player named Zileas would not only find himself victorious, but also responsible for popularizing the Reaver drop. Legacy is a new frontier. The last Beta for the Starcraft trilogy. New units and many changes are going to lead to a fresh and exciting series of events as players claw their way through the content to unearth a whole new meta.
To the Community: Thank you all for your support. It has almost been two years with you admirable hobbits, and I look forward to many more. I found out last night that The Late Game placed 5th for SC2 talk shows! I can't remember how many were on the list (it may have only been 5), but to have even been considered by Blizzard is directly because of you. To say thanks, I have added my share of the winnings to the prize pool for this month's league (it's usually only $200). Thank you all so very, very much.
Hmm would love to sign up, But with blizzards previous beta's, I'll not get in for several months till all events are over =/ So ill wait till I atleast have a key confirmed.

Damn, props. Loving the work you are putting into the scene Lycan.

because it's always harder to figure out the defense than the offense. They will figure it out. (funny being on the otherside of that bullshit argument for once)

I don't really think it is a bullshit argument though ...

What changed?
Click a stream and look at the minimap. The colours aren't as bright or something, you will definitely notice it. Sry, I can't really describe it :/
Would you like to have the Lycan League remain Legacy of the Void?
Yesterday was exciting and it would be great to have a way to constantly monitor the progress of the Beta. There's also the added bonus of giving pros a forum/incentive to try things out and help us continue to create good content. Now, INB4 money grab, the numbers I saw for yesterday were on par with the usual HotS Lycan League when there isn't a major tournament going on. Also, I don't make money off the Lycan League.
Additionally, if we continue with Legacy of the Void, I can start holding Archon Mode weeks. Players doing Archon Mode will both earn points for the single player finals. I'm already considering this for the Beta Series Week #3.
I would like to run two tournaments and if some things in the pipeline work out, that will happen. Then I'll have a NA AND EU cup (both with a buffed prize pool). Once that happens I'll alternate between the two (i.e. when one is HotS the other will be LotV) until Legacy is launched.
Since this is a community tournament I would like your feedback on the matter. I have time to make my final decision, so mull it over, have some cheese, sleep on it a few nights, then get back to me. Let's make magic happen, folks! (As I wrote the last two sentences, my inner monologue was using Cave Johnson's voice).

Definitely want it to remain a LotV tournament. LotV is what is most interesting right now. Memories of the King of the Beta tournament way back when. Part of the excitement is the chaos of the beta.
i would love to see it being a tournament for lotv. But i think the smarter move would be to coordinate with desrow, so that one keeps doing hots and the other lotv.

What do I have to do to get you to respond to my other tweets?
As a league that rose to fill the space of Zotac cup, I think it should stay as HotS. But the current major interest is now set on LotV. So my final vote is to keep playing it in the Beta, Blizzard already said they are inviting more people, and they will keep doing it in a weekly basis (or bi weekly), I won't see a problem, won't be something stale and "boring" like the current HotS metagame.
Man, keep it up with LotV. People want the LotV beta access so much, the same is with streams - we can watch GSL and WCS Finals HotS but other than that - LotV is all that matters. You can be the guy who paved the way. Think about it. Cheers!
Please keep it on LotV We have very little LotV content right now for viewers/consumers. I would really love to see how the beta develops every week as people get better the game.
Same here, LotV all the way. My interest for HotS has taken quite a nose dive since the beta started. I don't think I've watched a single HotS stream since then, other than WCS this week-end... and it's not really making me want to go back to watching HotS.
It may just be because everything is still a big clusterfuck right now, but LotV games are just so much more fun to watch. I can only imagine what it's like to play it though :'(

Yeah , i thought QXC was doing a spot of showboating which is fine, as he had it won easy.
I guess Zerg has to work out the timings again or die like they did at the beginning of HOTS

I didn't watch the games, but the natural response so far has been burrow roaches (not necessarily with burrow movement) with anything transition. Burrow cancels the cyclone lock-on.
