I actually don't like that Gomtv apparently counts these tournaments as GSL wins -.-

I agree. I think GSL should refer only to the League. It's format makes it unique and that is why it is given more weight than weekend events.

However I think we should at least be consistent if we're going to do it this way :D

Why do people overrate Dark so much? Almost all of his success is against Terran. I would rate Rogue ahead of him by results


Yeah I think Dark will get exposed if he goes against some top tier Protoss or even certian Zergs. Still his ZvT is godlike and it's carrying him. Until he even gets to the RO4 of a premier he shouldn't be anywhere near top 5 lists. Maru and Inno are definitely higher than herO as well.

Dark made it to Ro4 for IEM Katowice.


I was thinking Korean tournaments but point taken. Look at what happened in the tournament though. He looked unbeatable in the ZvT's leading up to the quarter finals where he died to Trap. I'm not saying the talent isn't there but the hype train is too much for someone who doesn't have the results to show for it.

Imo the Supertournament should count. It was a huge tournament, not one of the "win 3rounds and you are a finalist" things. It started with the Ro64 and the qualification to enter it was to be Code A/S. So for all purposes of difficulty it was compareable to Code S.

Just made a completely arbitrary point system to rate Premier Tournament achievements and then went through it for Life and Mvp. Life is at 5.95 with 0.75 or 1 more (=6.7 to 6.95 points) depending how this GSL finals goes. Mvp is at 7.7, hence still the greatest by like 1 more GSL finals. Unless of course there is someone greater, e.g. Taeja (dat Liquid-biased point system ) or MMA.

T3 - everythinh with 25k-75k prize pool

And I also managed to squeeze proleague and gstl in there. ^_^
