HerO definitely should have won that game. No, no he shouldn't have... He made a bunch of mistakes, overextended with a ton of his units and even though his harassment was good and killed important buildings and teared Pet apart, he lost maybe as much as him resource wise because of units he was harassing with(Stalkers, Archons, Dark Templars, Zealots were the only one that weren't expensive).
In SC2 composition matters a lot, and HerO didn't have the right one to fight that army.

And Locusts are, y'know, free, as are Broodlings. Sc1 storms ignore armor and deal direct damage. Is this not the case in sc2? I always assumed they were similar in that regard. The SC2 one is spell damage too, but it can't be as devastative as the SC1 one because of smart casting + PvT

Yeah that part is true, but SC2 storm only does 80 damage over 4 seconds instead of the 124 over 8 from BW. Also the radius is extremely small. I did notice HerO storms faster then every four seconds and storm doesn't stack. That much is his fault.

SC1 storms were used to shred light units and deny space to slow units, particularly siege tanks. also iirc they stacked so you could get pretty insane damage, way way way more than in SC2 because they do not stack anymore.
in short bw storm >>>> sc2 storm. no real comparison. god i miss it
My big wish for LotV is an upheaval of pathing / clumping, as seen on tv. such an easy change. I can dream.

SC2 storm ignores armor, it is still magic damage and does 80 dmg over 4 seconds. Corruptor has 200 HP, meaning you need 10 seconds of storms to kill it. It never happened in this game ;-) Storm doesn't overlap, meaning after 4 seconds of the first storm the second one starts to count(this is the same as BW, right?)
HerO was in bad position, he should have recalled.

They do, but 80 damage is done when a unit sits in a storm for the full period of time. Corruptors have 200 health and Brood Lords have 225 health, so they need slightly over 10-11.25 seconds of storm to completely die. Considering storm doesn't stack and HerO didn't perfectly chain storms on the same place (nor should he), it didn't outright kill anything, just damage the entire army.
