You know what? I'd actually not have anything against Forcefields if Zergs had cool shit to do as well. Warping in in the base of your opponent, forcefields, recalling back into your main to save important units, blink micro... Those are all cool micro things Protoss can do, and zerg really has nothing cool like that. Just standard stuff everyone an do like building more units or flanking etc. Like pulling units out of position or nydus or burrow or overseer contamination Really? You're comparing those things to the micro stuff I just mentioned? XD. Don't get me wrong, I'm not even balance whining or something. Obviously Zerg can still win so thats not the issue, it just looks like Zerg got the worse end when it comes to cool micro shit. I'm just talking from an observers perspective at this point. Zerg winning is 99% of the time because of superior army composition/numbers, never really about outmicroing. When Jaedong had that sick burrow micro against MC I was astounded - but it was the only time I ever really saw that in action. Meh. Stephano won most of his games due to outmicroing. Life's lings are always better because of microing. Muta's allow for shitload of microing. People don't even have enough apm to use contaminate properly. I don't agree at all. ...Stephano won most of his games by maxing on roaches at 12 minutes

What if they introduced an upgrade to transfuse in the late game T3, AoE heal instead of single target but for a reduced amount. Just sitting for a full 60 seconds waiting for all your shit to regen doesn't really cut it vs storms or AoE.

Really exciting watching that deathball just kinda meander around the map.
|
No. Zerg. Ever. Splits. Corruptors. I mean, just use 8 control groups and stomp this.
|
|
|
Does Jaedong not know how to spread his corrupters?
He has the exact counter he needs but doesn't have any clue how to micro it...
|
JD might be dead. but he saved the Hive. It's the small things that counts!

The fun thing about ZvP in this phase is zerg can almost endlessly defend with enough corruptors, but if they have enough corruptors they can never get aggressive/destroy buildings. Yay for LotV and Corruptors being able to hit buildings! :D

An AoE heal with larva inject, giving zerg unit efficiency comparable to T and P while being able to produce 50+ units at a time? Sounds fair.

JD should probably have played with a composition a la what Life did vs Zest - mix in some infestors or you can never take any fight vs that skytoss deathball :/

I've never said that Zerg can't micro at all, but their micro is "basic". "Muta micro" is not exclusive to Zerg in the sense that Banshees and Phoenices/Oracles do really really similar things and require really similar responses. I'd even argue that Muta Micro is mostly about finding the hole in the enemy's defense and then a-moving, picking up single units and/or buildings is more about luck than anything since a well-positioned terran/protoss will never really let mutas just pick of a tank or a colossus.
Contaminate is similar to bringing that one dropship down into your enemy base, just that a dropship full of marines is much more deadly than a single contaminate ever will be.
Thats my point - there's little to no micro that is exclusive to zerg. Whereas both Protoss and Terran have a ton of stuff that Zerg will never be able to do.
But anyway, I realize that this is way too digressing. Sorry mods, I'll stop now!
