Or don't do a proper build. If you take a Protoss on that map you can completely shutdown Hellion/Speedling with a forge-cannon walloff at the mid-point, at which point you are ahead.

That has big problems too but I won't say too much, can't be giving away too many of me and Libo's strats XD

Strong play from liquid, just dominated IM. congratz to them!

Of course, though if you don't do at least something against 10pool/hellion, you shouldn't complain when it kills one of your players

depending on the map, pz is really weak vs tz in teamplay because both players are always isolated in the early game (protoss also lacks mobility and they dont have cost efficient armies in the middgame), thats why most 2v2 maps have close/shared bases. if you go for a forge walloff that sets you behind eco/tech-wise and youre doing it blindly, which makes you vulnerable to alot of other stuff. thats why i think maps like sacred path dont really have a place in competitive 2v2
ive been playing alot of teamplay lately and i think graystone ravine is currently one of the most balance maps in the mappool. crooked maw/geosync quarry/isle of slaughter are also good

There are many many other team compositions that work just fine on sacred path. I agree with the rest of your points though, and shared bases definitely allow the most balanced gameplay but that's not necessarily the goal of the shoutcraft maps. Sacred path is definitely competitive but unique in its own ways that adds a twist to normal 2v2s, meaning that unfortunately some team compositions will fare worse than others

What happened to Starbow for this tourney?

Pardon? Starbow, as we've explained before, only happens if both teams agree to it. Up to this point, the Starbow matches have been complete rubbish.

Mostly because the players have not prepared well may I add...
Also, conciser switching Starbow map to Fighting Spirit. I feel Python is just too open to be a good Starbow map for the clan-wars.
More shameless plug: Starbow ladder cup starts in 3 hours for some high level Starbow play where players have prepared quite a lot: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/sc2-tournaments/445613-starbow-ladder-cup

there was a game between two seasoned starbow players and it was rubbish anyway ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
also python is like 3 different maps in one, because of how the positions work, maybe a different map would allow players to prepare better

I might just switch it out to Fighting Spirit honestly.

Pretty interesting 2v2 between Bunny/Snute and Lucky/Ruin!
+ Show Spoiler +Would have been sick if Ruin had been able to win the 1v2, looked like he was getting pretty close actually! A few mismicros with his blink stalkers really cost him a lot though I think (the blinking over the rocks fight) and also his ally Lucky really needs to learn how to do something other than szzzzzzzzzzzz . . . Not sure how his 4 oracles weren't able to just straight up kill Snute earlier though, I saw they only killed like 6 or 7 drones or something. Also TB maybe Bunny was able to get enough money for those tanks thanks to Snute feed, although he might have just had the money saved up himself anyways I wasn't quite sure. All in all a nice 2v2 :D

Is SC2 BW still in the mix if team agrees to it ?

It's not like all players have prepared for the none Starbow match too (hello Liquid HerO). Guy sent as ace, does not know the map. Funny in some way.
Some games are really good. Catz vs Nxz. Too bad TB doesn't want seperate thread. Because there would be polls for people to vote for in order to be included in the "this week in SC2". But that takes time so i understand.
Also Mister Biscuit, how do you chose the music at the end of matches ?

What's happening with Clan Wars? Is there a break form matches?

TB is on the road (gaming shows), I think. Without him there are no matches.

I put up 3 on the calender for the first week but barely anyone signed up for them, so I had no viable matchups. I've put 10 more down now that I've seen the WCS schedule, so I'm waiting for teams to sign up

Hope to see ROOT sign up for some fights. Really wanna see them play. They've got such a big roster that I feel like they can be prepared for anything, and I wanna see what all the new folks can do. :D

I haven't forgotten the pain of watching ROOT vs. Who!?. It was terrible, brother fighting against brother. ;_;
Or brother fighting against mate, I guess.
