It was my fault we ended up against WCS EU. I had to move this match due to confusion with the Australian timezone and that brought it into conflict. Our viewership got wrecked as a result. If you missed it, mlg.tv is airing reruns constantly and the VoD should be up tomorrow.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES, IT WAS THE BEST CLAN WAR YET Hey, are you planing to release the replays?
I am not.
Past SHOUTcraft events indicated that releasing replay packs was pointless, the numbers just weren't there to justify it. It makes more sense to the event to give exclusivity to Husky and Day[9] to produce content with the replays that further promotes the event.

Thank you, I mostly watch the 2v2 games, the games are just so whacky.

that was an amazing clanwar. All games were fun in some way :D Also good casting by both you and Pengwin

Was a lot of fun preparing strategy and playing. TEAM WHO? fighting! Huzzah the starcraft equivalent of a jamaican bobsled team.
|
players apparently actually load and look at the maps before playing and the series get much better and interesting to watch. really enjoyed myinsanity vs clanwho (re-live via youtube)! one really has to realize how few games are played on these maps. so far and each and every game brings something new.

Any interesting games in MYI v Who?

It kind of sucks that I'm on the other side of the world, so I can't watch the live games, but damn, these games are amazing!

Hey, sorry if this has already been covered but where is the VOD for the 'Startale vs Axiom' game?

Just watched the Vods for Who? Vs MyI. I really think the 2v2 map needs to be changed. The idea behind it is really cool, but when it comes to 2v2 practicality it just doesn’t work. What makes 2v2 so tricky is you can both cheese and take out one guy, essentially making it a 2v1. The allied bases are just too far apart to defend each other. Jakji saw that attack coming for a good 30 seconds, if he and Stardust were sharing a base that would’ve easily been held.
At the very least teams need to realise that you have to be hyper aggressive on that map and keep an eye on the middle.

4 matches is by no means enough to make an assessment, especially since most players had no idea what they were doing.
We won't be changing maps on the basis of such a tiny sample size. Once maps get figured out, if they still end up not playing well, we can change them. Not a single team has used the map as it was intended yet. Only one team came close. Until that happens, no assessment can be made. Jjakji and Stardust did not lose because of the map, they lost because they didn't bother to practice and I have no sympathy for that.

No Startale Vs Axiom VOD's up yet? I keep looking for them. Maybe I'm just retarded....

Those vods are broken, we can't recover them intact. Basically for some reason the vods cut off the first couple of minutes of two of the matches. The only way to really repair that would be to recast them but I had a cocaster for that event making that next impossible.

Our next event, Mill vs EG, will be cocast by qxc.

A lot of these teams have clearly not practiced at all, for example Jjakji and stardust who didn't even wall off either the middle or their own bases... I didn't actually get a chance to watch the life hack game but as far as I know they did just get a bit lucky that the other team wasn't checking the rocks. Our practice 2v2s almost every game goes past 15 minutes macro game, so I think it's less a problem with the map (which really becomes more interesting the more we play it) and more so from teams not viewing the 2v2 as importantly as they should.

Yeah. I get that practicing 2v2 is maybe not a good use of peoples time but putting in just a couple of hours on that map will make people far more likely to succeed on it. Axiom actually did practice it and had a strategy, they just got unlucky with their supply depot placement being one square off where it needed to be to scout the lings. That's a bit of a shame since I htink that game would have got really interesting past that point.
