You know how much it takes for a reaper to kill a zealot. As I said, only way he stops this is having a depot close to the ramp so HerO never even tries that proxy He would maybe hold but he would still be too much behind at that point. but he couldve tried. scv micro vs zealots is not that hard, you maybe lose 3-4 vs 2 zealots, thats it - even without the reaper. not saying it wouldve been easy from this point, especially vs hero, but not canceling reactor / lifting everything / send all workers to the natural is certainly a sign of complete nervousness
I'd be VERY impressed by that if you somehow manage to kill the zealots while only losing 3 or 4 scv's.

You need to pull away 2 SCVs at the same time in a 1.2 ingame seconds interval.

im not only talking this game btw: ForGG is simply a different player vs foreigners than he is vs good koreans. he plays as if he knew he will lose anyway. its a mindset thing.
no matter what u say - its certainly possible to survive this proxy in the situation forGG was put in if he does everything right. he would probably be behind, but the game isnt lost.

I would like for you to show me a game where such scenario unfolds. Besides, what is stopping HerO from chronoing a stalker after those 2 reapers? He already had a cyber core. ForGG was dead, it was just a build order loss that is it.
Yes he could have put the supply depot at the ramp, he probably didn't because the ramp is so far away but I think it is a good trade-off to stop shit like in - base proxy gateway.
So that was a mistake by ForGG. But after that there is not really much he could have done better.

In the end here we are with another pvp finals match. So, in a sense, everyone loses!

The issue was his scouting pattern rather than his build (if he scouts it in time he will of course skip the Reactor).

You're talking to another GM player btw
Not saying I agree, I think ForGG would probably fall too far behind.

No it would not have mattered, the Reaper was already far away and he would lose so many SCVs against the 2 Zealots he would be dead anyway; plus there's a Stalker and the MSC coming next. And I don't get why you say he was "nervous," he was surprised by an unscouted cheese and that's all. Maybe just frustrated with tvp lately (i mean who isn't) and sadly carried the mentality in the tourney which is not a good thing. Just my thoughts though.

Well he played way better against Dear at Asus. And I think Dear is better PvTer than HerO.
Idk, I hope he can get back into this mentally, it would suck if he dropped so early in the tournament.
