Daedalus is funny because it just goes against their own racial design. It's so odd, the map seems made in complete obliviousness with regards to how the early game works. But they designed both things, so how does that happen?
"Imbalanced" maps can be cool though, like rush maps or something with unusual mechanics. I'd like to see more unusual maps in general, but Daedalus isn't exactly the way to go (Even disregarding the open natural, the entire middle is just flat with a very small amount of obstacles)

Yes, and I think another EU Protoss also lost vs Scarlett(?) with proxy v 3 hatch pool a couple weeks later

because they want to see if people work something out ? you have to test boundaries and if people don't want to test, then you have to force them. I like the map and how different Protoss plays on it. The best part, you only face Zergs most of the time on this map.

Daedalus gave me an idea for a map. Three spawn, one spawn is incredibly good for zerg, one spawn is incredibly good for terran, one spawn is incredibly good for protoss, but you don't get to choose where you spawn or where your opponent does.

Assuming a player doesn't spawn at their favoured base and the opponent has spawned at their own favoured base:
Terran builds up at their favoured base and builds their second CC there, then lifts their main to become their natural.
Zerg just creeps up and takes their good one as a third perhaps.
Protoss can't relocate to their good one without saccing their main. And can't take it as a third because it'll be too far from the main to defend in any shape, way or form.
Theoretically it'd be an interesting map to see. But I can't help feeling it'd just expose the weakness of Protoss' ability to defend bases further. I mean the MSC was implemented because of the difficulty in defending bases that are relatively close together; let alone defending a different main entirely away from yours.

Then we should have maps with only 1 base per player as well, right? I am all for different maps, but it has to be somewhat balance...
They can put it on ladder if they want people to work things out, but not in the highest level tournaments.
