i made it to high masters without hotkeying my spellcasters or army, you can really do well just with having more units, haha

I think if I ever learned to split my marines against banes correctly I could have probably made it to masters but I got so frustrated I just stopped laddering seriously and switched to random, but yea you can pretty much get through the lower leagues by out producing people.
I think a lot of my bad habits came from getting to diamond by just 1-1-1ing in every matchup for a while and then I tried to switch to playing more standard. But since I wasn't used to it I started losing a lot more.

When I was learning the game, the worst piece of advice I read was a proper hotkey setup.
Hotkeying spellcasters is probably only really a thing like plat+

wasn't the only reason obviously but it was definitely a major factor considering my TvZ win rate was like < 20% where my other matchups were doing really well. There were definitely areas in macro and strategy I could improve but I could beat masters players I knew that were T and P. The day I quit terran I was on a 10 win streak against terran and toss and a 18 game losing streak against zerg. I was like worse than JYPvT

Just watched the second half of the final. Game 4 and 5 were not very good. Just smack downs by sOs as I think, by that time, JD was already mentally beaten. The first half, or the first 3 games were better. But, it was made up by the aftermath.
Boy, it was good to see sOs with the trophy. It clearly meant so much to him. That was a long sweet moment. I also did not realise that Woonjin Stars was having such a tough time of late. In that way, sOs winning was also a damn fine story.

You did not make it anywhere near high masters without multiple hot keys.
