hopefully doing well in GSL will give Dear and Trap confidence in GSTL so they can start showing their skill and stomping people like they should be doing~
Standard opening 8 minutes of no action in PvZ ;_; Gosh, i think this needs to be changed the most in SC2, personally. Or do what they used to do where they would talk for a bit longer and go into the game after like 1 minute.

Ok that is madness lmao. How on earth did that work? Sleep looked like he smacked it down, with a scissor and easy kill. Immortals survived and Roaches disappeared :S
How did he win? Are these guys serious? Pure roach in a choke vs immortals with a prism? No queens to kill the prism, bad unit comp, of course protoss wins that.

you answered your own question!
Yeah but the supply man, was like 120 supply for Dear. which disappeared to like 60, he warped into 70 supply vs 130-140 and he didn't move from 70 supply lol. Madness, especially in the stupid position he forced the engage XD

lol. wasnt even close, right?
It looks ok for zerg initially because you kill lots of gateway stuff, but with pure roach and no queens to target down prisms, you will never kill the immortals. Just look at the one at the end, 30+ kills, mostly roaches.
Need a mixed force of lings/roach/queen to deal with that, and no engaging in the worst possible spot.

Symbol's still really good, he's what i'd call a sad "story" he was someone who should have won a GSL but on that terrible night he was slain by the soul toss.
Idk what all the doom and gloom is about. First SC2 game I've watched in like a year and half and this is just....just so much better than WoL PvZ my fucking god

Uh well this is not exactly a standard PvZ.
And that's it. Strange, and strangely entertaining.
Trap. With 93% winrate in Proleague vs Zergs. Not the right choice against the strongest zerg on enemy team. Sure, Wolf!
(btw when I watch Soul games, I have no idea where Wolf and Khaldor are getting the idea that Trap is PvT specialist. And they have said it repeatedly in last few matches I've seen).

The reason for Dear making those manner nexus is that Symbol's larvae production was way too low. Either needed another macro hatch or just hit injects better, maybe both.
Still sloppy to get overconfident. It's one thing to make the manner buildings when you're on top of production, but seems like he might've been too afraid that Symbol would GG before that could happen.

Open CC first, use first energy from both CC to scan and drop manner mule.
Actually I'm gonna do that on my NA account, MMR should be low enough.

How about mulebombing your opponent's base to steal minerals the whole game?

I remember people muling the gold base on Metalopolis in split map situations.

I think he could've won if he didn't engage there, but instead backed off and remade tech units. Dumping those minerals into warp prism harass would buy him so much time!

4k bank but like 800 gas, if he didn't morph those archons he would have had more storms, symbol couldn't have really killed him so both would have build back up again it was kinda even.

You could probably beat NA diamond zergs, they're pretty bad
New strat, freak them out with manner muling, make them overreact and build units, go mech behind it because mineral/gas ratio is more even than with bio so mules not as important

He would have won if he kept playing. But he basically stopped trying and wanted to manner nexus before Symbol left, and then just warp-in more stalkers to close the game. He had plenty of time to remake tech units, or pull back and harass the third or make a warp prism... or do basically anything except 4 manner nexus and warping in just stalkers and attacking

Even if he had just retreated when he saw the stalkers and warped in HT's for archons and to get Storm if the counterattack took a while I think he'd be fine. The game wouldn't be over, but he wouldn't lose.
I wonder why terrans don't just do a strategy that gives them early map control, then mine the lemons and go a million barracks behind it to pump mariners

There is lemons at 3 and 9 o'clock. They have x amount of hp (anyone knows how much? like 1-2k) and when destroyed, they leave lemon slices. A worker can pick up the slice, return it to a base and receive 500 minerals instantly.
It rewards map control and thus gives a way to avoid the whole "get 3 bases and max out" syndrome! Very nice design!

Oh, thats sounds pretty cool. Nice addition for a change.
I think it would have been better to send Trap first. Trap is very good against Zerg (the match up that had to be played) and overall solid. Hyvaa could have been used to snipe SuperNoVa who is - in my opinion - coming out if Symbol loses.

That game would've been pretty one-sided if Trap focused the Hive and got some tech buildings. It takes quite a few minutes to recover from that big of a tech loss

Just need Patience to close this out, come on Azubu! Edit: What is Patience's PvP like btw? Do I just have to hope for SuperNova to close or could we see Azubu win 4-2?

he only has 2 televised pvps, 1 loss vs crank 1 win vs seed
It's more like flipping a coin, then trying to find out what your opponent got and trying to turn the coin around to what side you need without them noticing

well trap at least played equal to what he has been in gstl, dear should have all-killed if he didn't throw the game against symbol away with his silliness.
I think ZvP will be a big problem soon. 5th time this week I've seen the Swarmhost Broodlord Corruptor army just buying time to get a huge bank and then its basically unwinnable. Even if the protoss manages to defeat the army there comes a 40 muta remax that's basically undefeatable.

Everyone though that Stephano style in ZvP was OP too. But suddenly most of zergs moved away from it. It is just abuse of meta.
Was a bad mistake to let those runbys do any damage but can't say Trap didn't play well today. Dear is the one who fucked up the hardest considering he had a really good chance of all-killing Azubu. Lesson learned I hope for Dear :3

yeah, 200supply vs 125, 5base vs 3base is a bitch. Sounds like you should try to not go for such a bad scenario...

1. Nestea flies his 20 broodlords into the 6 vikings of Noblesse and loses the game 4 bases against 2 in WoL ZvT. (This could have been two of the games as he also ran 20 infestors into marines and lost them all without a single spell cast.) 2. Soo does the perfect anti-baneling bust against Gumiho's supply wall. 3. Byun doing a 15 minute scv pull and then wasting 5 minutes in the middle of the map against Seed. 4. Bomber manner-muling MKP 7 times in the GSTL las vegas finals and then losing the game.
Random things like Idra gg'ing to Hallucinated void rays, Taeja losing to Elfi, San losing by blocking his own natural didn't make the cut because in the end, Taeja moved out of his group, Idra won that series, and San was a nervous wreck so it was understandable.
In order to have made this list you had to have done such an incredibly dumb decision in an important meaningful game like those 4 + dear.
Honorable mentions goes to these series for the dumbest series played overall:
Innovation losing 3 games to consecutive roach bane busts and then flying his army into medivacs, wasting the turbo boost and then dying to mutas.
Inca for going dts 4 times in a row.
Soulkey vs sOs for sOs refusing to believe Soulkey would go mutas for a 4th time.
Mvp vs MKP because all Mvp did was give MKP a stern look and then MKP fell apart.
