lol good zergs absolutely use fungal for the lock with infestor/ultra/bane. that's definitely a thing that happens. the problem is not that the best zergs in the world are "throwing around fungals," it's that the infestor transition is very very very hard to do without just dying to bio pushes

I think he didn't go for Infestors, because he barely had an army most of the time. He had a few Ultras, but Ultra/Infestor without a high enough Ling/Bling count (And he was really lacking these units most of the time)... don't know how well this works.

Are you really going to say that trying to remake a muta ball and an ultralisk based army is the right thing to do in low econ? You are calling people out on how much they know in the matchup but i am getting a vibe you really don't know that much from a zerg standpoint, he had ZERO chance to make another muta ball and actually have good fights, and saying anything other then that is just ludicrous.

I think I was right at the exact time I posted this, he lost one engage because he had too many marines at that particular time. After that he had some more marauders and it got better and he won the game. Bad was oversaid though I agree.

when I think of infestor/ultra in TvZ I think of that one game in WCS America on Bel'Shir Vestige, Heart vs Suppy. Suppy looked dead, heart had 6k minerals banked and 5 bases. Suppy rolls over Heart's army with SICK™ Fungals, slaughters it and somehow makes it to the production before Heart can rebuild anything.

Fair enough, he might have lacked some marauders at one, two points. I was just confused by the statment that marine/mine/medivac is the wrong thing to do against ling ultra
