Not just beat, demolished.
That's what blows my mind the most about this series. He didn't edge out a win vs Innovation, he just straight outplayed him.
Yup. Insane. I never thought it was possible vs MMMBwop but DRG made it look easy.
He did?
What i saw in that series was DRG using every new trick we saw from Soulkey, and then perfected it behind flawless macro, GODLY micro and ridiculous intuition and game awareness.
Basically DRG played a level of TvZ that we just haven't seen before and anything less than that would've been a loss in typical Innovation Parade push fashion.
I saw DRG raise the bar, he didn't make it look easy but he did make it look convincing.
Um, you know sometimes raising the bar is actually the proper way to handle something. DRG made it look easy, but that doesn't mean it was. Terrans will have to step up their game and stop using 4M parade every game like they used to, if Zergs can attain the new bar that DRG raised today.
Ultimately, this is very good for TvZ and SC2 in general, so be very happy that the level of play is continuing to rise.
I am just wondering what terrans should do if this style of sending many single banelings/lings and sniping mines continues. Cause T needs aoe and there are only a few options.
Take a leaf out of drgs book and just play faster then anyone else.

I imagine making like... a tank to target fire big clumps of banes or making a thor to punish the mutas every time they come forward might work. Still... I don't think there's more than like... 3 or 4 zergs that have DRG's combined micro/mechanics/countersense@Tm

I don't think there's any other zerg that has that.

Widowmine positioning is a big thing that can be improved upon. Innovation is good at splitting up his mines but even in those game he often clumped them a bit too much so the ling/bane suicides would take out a lot every time. Can also place them on cliffs more etc. so where you attack becomes really important too.
And MAYBE, just maybe, if zergs continue to raise the bar in dealing with widowmines terrans may have to add in tanks to target fire those mini-clumps of banes.

Finals. The venue goes black. Power outage. Suddenly a spotlight lights up the center of the room. It's Mvp and Nestea standing there looking badass, calling out MMA and DRG.
It's 2v2 time
No wait!
Flash and Jaedong comes down from the ceiling
It's a motherfucking 2v2v2
Who were the finalists? No one can really tell, but rumor has it that it was supposed to be a ZvZ.
