He was up there, along with Moon.

Wasn't Grubby the single best player of all time in WC3? he was tied with moon. at their peak they rarely played against each other b/c region issues and so they had a big rivalry build up.

Well, WCS EU had a foreigner that, you know... was actually Code S when he switched. ![]() Stephano got Code S through a 4person up/down group which was pretty much the easiest up/down group ever. Not to mention he only got to Code S in the first place because of a seed. He went 1-2 in his group lost to Flying and then BARELY got back into Code S through the biggest joke of an up/down group there has ever been. And he only didn't make it further into Code S to begin with because he had to play against Innovation twice in the group stage. (and even against Innovation he went 1-1 in macro games, only losing to 3cheeses of the later Ro8 player of that tournament, runner up of the next one, winner of the season finals...) The only reason he won a match in Code S at all was because he got one of the weakest Code S terrans during the height of zerg domination. If Stephano had gone to Code S when he probably had the world's scariest vP and was at his clear peak, he wouldn't have had to rely on bracket luck. Thanks WCS EU, I for one enjoyed it. I like the Korean/foreigner rivalry, and players who I know pretty well. Mvp and Grubby have so much history behind them, makes it easy to get emotionally involved. Personally my favourite 'era' of MLG was when the likes of Idra and Ret, while not winning were always pretty competitive. The hype in the crowd whenever Idra played will always stick with me, the MC cutting his throat joking BM and all. Good times ![]()

Also isn't he noticeably older than a lot of other current eSports players?

He practiced so hard for it and by being 0-1 down i thought it would be very hard but he made it possible by having really good decision making. Im so happy for him and we all saw that it meant so much to him ![]() The practise actually shows. He had several micro mistakes, but he knew the builds/timings well. He won the 2nd game because he knew he can counter the move-out with oracle and the 3rd one with that counter to the natural. I was actually shocked to see him standing his whole army away from his base when MVP moved out, until I realized (after the casters explained) that he will recall.

I really don't know why he hasn't gotten those dealt with. Is it the same thing as what happened to (SIIIIGH) Flash?
