Fantaji hwaiting!!

Sad for Leenock losing his rematch and Jangbi
Like many said I don't think Life's in good form anymore, which I don't really mind, he has enough time and years ahead of him to improve again.

4. "GSL n00bs"? With a double 0? Really?

it's not about 'being prepared for a bo1' it's about very simple math. the stronger player has a better chance to win in a longer series. if you think that life, jangbi, leenock and roro would have been kicked out of the group in bo3 series you are wrong and stupid.

I keep forgetting "stronger player" means "the player I decided should win" :/

if you really think that kangho would win a bo100 against life and jangbi or hyvaa against leenock and roro or even fantasy against life though that one is not that clear - then you have no idea what you are talking about. bo1 format killed these players.

i'm not saying it's impossible to have it happen it's just way less likely.

when was the last time you watched a bo100? that's not how starcraft tournaments work. do you tell football fans their team wouldn't have won if the match had gone on for 50 hours?

for fucks sake..... why can't you just accept that bo1formats are bs because it's more likely that bad players advance. it's a very simple argument. but maybe we should jsut listen to you and make bo1 format finals woohee!

(and it doesn't matter if OSL has always been like this, right now we are only getting to a ez pz boring win for Soulkey, Innovation or Flash -> no competition)

In KangHo´s defense, he was in ro8 in the last season as well, it´s not a total surprise to see him advance.

Yes, just cut out the part, where I say, that it may have worked in another game, that really did´nt have anything to do with your qeustion, right?

btw, when I scanned through the recommended games in this thread and also in last week ones, there are far more recommended games (on average) then any GSL threads I remember. Like in this thread only, 7 out of 10 games are recommended, and 5 out of those are highly recommended. That's 70%. I don't remember seeing any GSL thread (besides maybe the last group of death one) with 70% recommended games. So the theory about Bo1 producins slightly more tense/better games may be the case here...

Also I think that Bo1 doesn't actually suit this format too much and would be much better with last OSL's format (round robin groups with 1 game per player per day), it could potentially produce even better games.

Maybe just wait and see if there will be some random scrub with a champion throphy before you start saying it doesnt fit THIS game, ok?

Is´nt it already to late, if we hand the GSL/OSL trophy to a "random scrub? Of course a good player will win it at the end, but it will not neccesary be the best player. If ESL would have had bo1 in the groupstages of season 1, MVP would have been eliminated in the ro32.

I believe that "gsl n00bs" are those who don't know about starleague and its history and the ones that started follow the scene after BW era. lol

By no means I'm saying that Kangho or soO are bad, but they are definitely not championship contenders. I simply don't wanna see random champions like in WoL, I want to best players to win. bo1 is just way too random, I wouldn't be happy if Kangho won, even if he played well till the end, simply cause nobody would remember his victory (same for Sniper or other players before him) despite being in code S for a very long time and being a good player overall. Yes good, but not amazing
