Really hoped Snute would defend his title but can't be unhappy with a Taeja win, he's pretty awesome too. Great series b/w the two.

Also no reaction from the casters, just "and taeja wins". It should be "OH MY GOD HE'S MOVING IN AND TAAAAAAAAAAEJA TAKES THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yeah this really bothered me

Felt like there was more hype during the final hours in HC before.

I love homestorycup but being quiet does not equal chill at all times

They wanted Snute to win. They would have exploded if he did.

By now you would think these tournaments wouldnt have such a terrible celebration. Taeja wins 10k and just sits there, lol wtf!? So anti-climatic and boring, fist pump, cheer, or do something.... it does not happen every time a korean wins, maybe half the time. not every korean player is the same. innovation was pretty robotic yeah, but soulkey and mvp's recent wins had soulkey crying and mvp looking pretty damn happy.

Mood is completely different for HSC, small audience, closely packed players and casters, almost no reaction from audience or casters for wins, how are you supposed to get pumped up. I'm watching the finals and the game is pretty exciting but there's no feeling of urgency or hype at all. The finals felt the same as the Ro4 which felt the same as the Ro8 which felt the same as the group stage.

Don't worry MLG will cover this next week. HSC is awesome for other things.

OMG Snute was the epitome of full foreigner this final match! GG to TaeJa, anyway. Well deserved, after all.

This is so hypocritical. Snute made mistakes but so did Taeja. Taeja easily threw a couple games just like you claim snute did.

Amazing tournament! Great play from the Team Liquid guys. As always the casting was great, especially enjoyed when ToD, Mana and Kas casted Seed vs Taeja.
Thank you Take and all the players, looking forward to HSC 8!

Nothing to do with being Korean. People are just different. I won a lot of tournaments in my day and after a while a final feels like just another game, so there are no emotions afterwards.

People react to winning in different ways. Some are just too emotionally drained to show much of anything after a big win. Some get incredibly hyped and happy. And MKP cries. In the end, how they react doesn't really mean much to me.

MKP cries at everything he does

Seems like it's going to be another year of Liquid >>>>>>>> EG.

Go go Year 2 of Liquid.
Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

tbh it seems like koreans dont see most foreign tournaments as huge career-changing opportunities, I bet Taeja would be sobbing like Soulkey if he won a GSL

The cold truth. Winning HSC for someone like taeja is not exactly fap-material.

Go watch Stardust winning DH
Go watch MMA winning Blizzcup
Go watch Soulkey winning GSL

Sorry mate, but Taeja does not represent all Koreans.
You either dont watch many tournaments or mentally blocked out these outbursts of emotion which Koreans have shown.

I don't agree 10000 is a lot of money, also for Taeja.

Snute might be the most successful foreigner over the last year, but people don't care about him too much. I think it goes to show that personality is important for getting recognition for your play and Snute is notoriously boring.
Well, now I tell you, I never seen good come o' goodness yet. Him as strikes first is my fancy; dead men don't bite; them's my views--amen, so be it.
