I think State is arguably the best NA toss. The other chinese players have been playing well so Top is someone to look out for. I could see anyone making it out of the group but State crushed Minigun in Shoutcraft America so he should be favored to get to at least the winners' match. I went with State and Top.

Yeah it's looking like State should have no problem advancing from the group after that game. Should finish off Xenocider 2-0 here and has beaten Minigun pretty easily not too long ago.

Xeno was ahead in supply by a reasonable margin for a good chunk of that game, but I have no clue where it went. His army looked so small. I think he can still win this series, but that game did not look good.
EDIT: Was Shoutcraft semis, 4-0.

Idk I was hoping it would have a little more life today since DreamHack isn't conflicting with the broadcast. 3 American players, too. Isn't this what people wanted?

I haven't been watching much Challenger league, so I have to ask: how does this viewer count and lack of people in the thread compare to previous broadcasts? If it's lower, it could be DH fatigue.

I haven't watched too much of the group stage because my sleep schedule was pretty messed up but during the bracket days it was around this viewer count if not a little higher with relatively the same amount of thread activity. Even the premier days had quite a few viewers and relatively low thread activity. They'd get 20k+ viewers and the posts would make it look like it had like 3k. Probably just the audience that's watching it.

I think picture in picture feature is cool. I wish other tournaments would do it too. Jumping between screens can be excting but sometimes it's good to focus on the big battle.

I think the game is too fast to do it properly. Or they should have a dedicated 2nd observer for it, most of the time they are trying to communicate which battle they show and its over before they get them both in view. It has potential, but never seen it adding something to the viewer experience yet.

Neither are very strong in the matchup and State defeated Minigun 4-0 in shoutcraft america on May 19th
Minigun's games against Top looked much better than his play from a month ago, though, so I wouldn't count him out.

No, it was losing the blink stalkers, which allowed Minigun to move out and attack and hit the timing, which killed the 3rd.
State's counterattack also didn't do enough, which resulted in his loss. Alas

yugioh with his lose in the round of 32 is back to code a but I expect him to get back to code s next season
what I like most about this is that earlier in the year when the invites for premier league happened. so many people were saying that none of the American invites (many even singling out root players specifically) would be able to stay in premier league, or requalify after dropping out of it. while they were half right they couldn't be more wrong about the other half every single root player that has tried to get in to the premier league from the challengers has made it.

Eh, it was close but not quite. That mistake against Top game 1 where he didn't forcefield was very uncharacteristic. Ah well, at least the Chinese scene gets a bit more exposure and success today.
