Did dreamhack handle situations like this in previous DH?

Points: both have 2 (2 wins), Maps: both have +1, Internal meeting: Thorzain won --> thorzain advances.

This is assuming Maps means mapscore and not maps won.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

He has the exact same map score and lost to ThorZain. It's only fair that TZ advances.

Okay

ThorZaIN 4-3
Lucky 5-4

Lucky has 1 more win, but 1 more loss. It balances out. ThorZaIN beat Lucky, so he wins the head to head. NUMBER OF WINS means jack fucking shit because you need to take losses into account too. ThorZaIN lost less than Lucky.

no it means map is +1 by both it doesnt say "won maps" so both are tied and now internal meeting goes to tfunk and he is through

Does it say map difference? This ruleset is way too unclear.

U should count losses aswell i think. If so, thorzain advances.. its a bitchy situation.

Except Lucky has 5 wins, so the map score is 5-4...

Cause their ruleset is unclear and leaves the power to the admins who can read it as they like.

Well seems like Thorzain got through after all. Now I am little less sad Naniwa lost, go TFunk!

Wow... that's pretty lame.

More wins =/= doesn't advance... lol WP Dreamhack, WP.

Man people are stupid.. but okay lets not give up on mankind yet. I will try to explain it, maybe someone will get smarter.

So the score is based wins and lose, or rather the difference between them. Lose are negative, wins are positive. That means Thorzain and lucky have the same score, positive 1. Thus they are T-I-E-D in score.

As they are T-I-E-D the rules progresses to the next deciding factor, in this case head-head performance. Than Thorzain beat Lucky, that is the same as he wins in the next deciding category.

See?

It all comes down to whether maps means maps won or map score, but the decision was already made, thorzain is through so it should be map score.
