As amazing as the last time?

I'm the biggest Stephano fanboy and I'd go nuts if he won something big before he retires, but I don't believe he's got a snowball's chance in hell in Korea.

If you a stephano´s biggest fanboy you would never state such bullshit consider what Stephano has done in his career so fare

Btw you should post more in his fanclup since I never seen you

That's certainly an overstatement. But MVP was definitely the best WOL player ever if "the best" was measured by achievements.

I don't see many ways to measure it that don't result in the conclusion being Mvp.

MC earned slightly more money, maybe that counts?

Yeah that's one of the few. Mvp will barely not beat MC if he wins this tournament, but at the current rate MC might be dethroned due to losing out on premier league, for the first time since Mvp's 4th GSL pushed him above MC for a short while.

If Mvp wins he will pass MC, due to the guaranteed money from the season finals. I believe It's 5k just for losing in the first round there

How much does the winner of the world champion get? Is it still 100K?

That's blizzcon

Damn, that grand prize is more than most peoples yearly salary lol I wonder how often MC calls the bank to check the balance on his account for satisfaction.

I'm sure MC has online banking ;o

Yeah, but it's more satisfactory to hear the automated voice system word out your balance in this particular situation lol

I'd hire a guy whose job would be solely to pick up the phone whenever I call and tell me how much I own.

Maybe that's because I have like 50 posts?

I'm not denying that he's amazing and that his career has been absolutely stellar, but Code S has been his Kryptonite.

Denying that exceeds fandom to the point of delusion.

Well MVP is the greatest sc2 player ever. So if TLO wanted to win WCS EU he had to beat him! I don't think TLO was arrogant I just think he was very confident and in a good mental state.

I just hope this "spanking" wont shake him to much

Imagine if someone like DIMAGA would win this prize; according to Wikipedia the yearly GDP of the Ukraine is 7.5k [4k] per capita, he would make as much money as the average Ukrainian in 13,5 [25] years (already won two [three] years of average salary by beating Happy today)

Stephano competed very well in code S until he ran into Innovation in two best of 3s. Pretty sure all zergs would lose two best of 3s vs Innovation.

These ukrainians are running on mules, they might not have EG salaries but their spending power in UA must be something. No wonder they play so many showmatches and sunday online cups.

In hots sure, but in wol innovation wasn't anywhere near as good as he is now. Also stephano's run in code S wasn't that great (unfortunately). Glad to see him beat babyknight though I knew he'd win

Not to nitpick but that was WoL and Innovation lost to plenty of Zergs in WoL.

After which he lost to flying 0:2, right?

The best foreigner ever can't be satisfied with results like that and as you can see by his interviews he was absolutely miserable. Even his hair looked like shit, which only Kryptonite can explain.

Keep in mind that Stephano was also seeded into Code S too. He lost 2-1 to Flying. I remember Flying lost on Planet S.

That babyknight Stephano series was one of the worst series of all time, from a spectator pov. I guess the players didn't play too badly, but when there are matches like that you wonder what will happen to sc2 as a esport.

I wouldn't go that far bro lol I think you forgot about the foreigners vs Koreans in the first and last HotS MLG.

Isn't it Eight? Semis, then TLO vs Happy then Lucifron vs Babyknight, then a match between winner of those to see who goes to Korea right? Then a best of seven finals? That's twice as much as today. As a Canadian I'm stoked, but I worry a bit about the timing for the EU folks

It's times like these that I really mourn TB's moving to the US of A.

I would have loved him to cast alongside Apollo.
