Ofc, starving out your opponent isn't just one of the oldest strategies in RTS play, it's one of the oldest strategies in armed conflict the world over. Going for the kill is still the most effective... i think it's the difference between foreigners and Koreans tbh. If any of those fights would have been won by mma which would be possible with 1 poor siege up from strelok, mma would of went straight for the kill.
But that's because MMA played bio, with Mech you should just wait I think.

I dont know.. Recently i saw strelok vs happy and happy made streloks mech look so sily.. But he did pretty good in game 1

That game was super intense, they both played pretty well. Strelock positioning and control of air was what won him the match. IMO

Without his beard, Strelok looks like swedish table tennis legend, J-O Waldner!

MMA beat MVP on this map back during the GSL finals ;p.

Well he had like 5 ravens, I don't even think he needed to siege up with that amount of PDD.

Hellbats should get +armor rather than +life. +Armor still gives them a huge boost against lings and lots, but makes a much smaller difference against tanks and other high damage units. Also it makes more sense; they're carrying two big shields.
Yes, I know that marines get hp from their shields. Doesn't mean it makes sense.

You can't do that against bio too well. Energy wasn't displayed most of the match but Strelok never took an offensive engagement unless his ravens had PDD up, losing his hellbats each time he would have risked overextending himself and throwing the match.

Pretty good perspective on how old and outdated daybreak is.

It's totally viable to play in a defensive way with a very long-term plan of starving out your opponent (especially with mech, obviously).

Good lord Strelok is such a bonjwa. 2-0 incoming please.

You absolutely want to get to that ideal composition of tanks and ravens, because otherwise one bad fight against marauders can totally ruin your game. Tanks are the main army, ravens are the safety net.
Of course MMA would've gone for the kill, he was playing bio.
