If they want to play with less lag, play in the GSL qualifiers. Cant have sympathy for them at all considering the circumstances.

It's quite a lot to travel from China to Korea to compete in the Code A qualifiers, where the chance of success is very very low. Even Koreans that don't live in the Seoul area have to travel a good way to participate. While it is WCS NA, a bit of flexibility on the part of the admins can't hurt.

Ah yes south + north America, but this guy is rebutting my statement: " If they [Chinese] want to play with less lag, play in the GSL qualifiers" Context. I'm not short-changing South America, I actually live in a Latin speaking country myself.

Are there actually any good southerners in the pro scene? I can't recall ever hearing any players with a thick southern accent at least.

Q: Will players be restricted to certain WCS regions by residency or nationality? Can pro players who live outside of Korea, America, or Europe join? A: Players are free to join any regional league they wish by declaring their region of choice at the beginning of the year. That means it's possible you'll see Korean players who reside in other regions joining WCS America or WCS Europe—and we hope to see players from other regions participate in WCS. Rather than creating residency requirements for competitors, we, in cooperation with our partners, aim to encourage players to choose a region as their base by having them participate in offline studio matches within that region. The number of in-studio matches will increase over time, and we believe this will encourage players to both train and reside within the region from which they choose to compete. Then they invited Australian, Taiwanese, Korean and European players to participate in WCS America as invited participants seeded directly in. Seems like the league is CLEARLY for North America. And if the Chinese players want to play in WCS Korea, they have to LIVE IN KOREA.

The 'thick southern accent' is more for rural locations where there is less likely to be high speed internet which is pretty much required to be a professional gamer. For example, I'm in Houston, TX. Almost as far south as you can go. Yet I have no southern accent. I'll still say "y'all" thought because saying "you all" is awkward when you could just contract it.
