Lol @ people who are so desperate for white people to win in tournaments. In what way are any of them 'my guys' because we share the same ethnicity? I'm supposed to root for people who live thousands of miles away from me that I've never seen in my life? And your two achievements are literally the same exact thing, except one focuses on the people who won and the other focuses on the people who lost. Sorry I don't go around high fiving people on a message board and act like it's some personal accomplishment for "my team" because Europeans beat some Koreans. Lol @ bringing race into a discussion about nationalities. I'm Italian-American, who in this tournament is my nationality that I should root for? The closest is a Canadian. Besides that, it is race since I'm apparently supposed to also root for Europeans. Dude nobody wants to hear you go on and on about how much better taste in players you have than everyone else. Show nested quote +You're not raining on anyones parade. We know what we're seeing. Frankly I don't even understand what the point of your post is. Flash Innovation Life and Parting are on another level, their own tier, but so far we've seen foreigners taking games off Code S level Koreans. You act like the Koreans here are scrubs. Leenock MC Polt Gumiho Hyun and Hero are all Code S level, and Gumiho recently 2-0 both Rain and Hyun so he's still a wild-card as to being able to win Code S. The level of competition is just a notch below the highest tier.
Then don't read my posts? And I haven't talked about how much better taste I have in players than anyone? Rofl. How can you not understand what the point of my post is? I was responding to someone talking about a skill gap based on Korea and the rest of the world based on who won games and who was knocked out. Leenock, Gumiho, Hyun, and Hero all advanced. The tier of people that were knocked out besides Polt and MC was pretty low.

. was anyone ever under a different impression? You don't need to all-in to kill Protoss early. You can drop Hellbats and Widow Mines and kill all their workers. And if it doesn't work, transition into a standard game... It's so easy! You should write Polt a letter about it so he doesn't lose any more TvPs in the future. poor terrans ;( so easy to beat, this world is just unfair and no there is no thing like 1/1/1, nothing to get aggressive with as a terran so sad.

MC and ForGG both went 0-3 in their groups x.x

SortOf falls 0-2 to Puzzle, bring on the ZvZ! xD

Stephano got insanely lucky with his group. 6-0 is no surprise.

I wouldn't have bet for Nerchio, ForGG, Thorzain, MC and especially Polt elimination. Some may be heavily jet lag but thats not a excuse obviously. I didn't watch much stream today, i missed a lot.
ThorZain and Stephano did have an easier group in the last stage, so I guess I'm a little shocked he didn't make it out of that one. As for MC, he's always been very inconsistent so I cannot say I'm surprised that he got eliminated. TLO has been on the rise and Grubby has been more consistent in finishing higher up in tournaments and looking at his group. I expected to him to put up more of a fight against HuK (HuK's probably the biggest surprise for me considering the games I did watch of him). + Show Spoiler +Lee did steamroll him though and he fell apart in typical fashion in that series . Polt is somewhat of a disappointment as for the rest. Not too surprising.
for HuK and TLO. Not sure how far they'll go considering the remaining player pool but they should be happy with their results.

Thank you, Project Dark Horse for sending an "underdog" who somehow is on a Kespa team to Dreamhack with community money. *cough, cough*
Am I a terrible person for being absolutely delighted that the money is being used on Puzzle and Coca as a chance to revive their careers? :p

Where are all the good Koreans like Life, Rain, DRG, Innovation, Parting etc no but it gives points towards WCS, but it is not a direct WCS tournament. And there are plenty of good koreans. The Korean lineup is pretty underwhelming. There's some great Koreans here sure but there's a fuck load not here, namely all the Kespa ones plus Life, Taeja and Symbol, You do know Kespa have an exclusivity deal with MLG involving foreign tournaments, don't you? That has nothing at all to do with the quality of this lineup. Excuses do not alter the reality. So you knew that then went ahead and made that post? Okay... so let's edit your quote then. ST Bomber ST Curious Azubu Violet Azubu B4 Azubu Supernova MKP Byun Maru DRG lots of good koreans missing out on this : ) Exactly, so why did he bother naming the Kespa players (who he knew were ineligible) over all the others? Because of you listed the best 10 players in the world right now I'd go (in no order): Life Roro Symbol Soulkey Parting Rain Flash Innovation Taeja Yoda. Maybe you could squeeze in Gumiho over Yoda. So there's 1 player in the top 10 in the world at best in this tournament. That's a pretty key point if people are going to talk about foreigner vs korean skill gap. I dont think anyone's arguing that foreigners have fully caught up to the koreans in skill gap...and being able to compete with the very best.. If they are...they're pretty much being delusional to an incomprehensible degree. It's fair to say that top of the foreigners can compete with the mid-tier koreans given what we've seen from dreamhack. They're still far from competing with the best.
