I think it's largely because you watch from his perspective on stream.
TLO decision making had always been a bit weird if you watch him play on a stage with everything visible and commentators 'explaining' things

Really annoying watching TL's players lose consistently and then Taeja appearing and winning everything. HerO is only ever is backup and I wanna see him play

Are people tired of seeing bio because it's tier 1 and everyone has been using it for three years? I mean, it's waaay more fast paced than mech, and I thought that's what makes SC2 fun..

I think people are happy to see mech play in TvZ just because bio is the standard atm. Anything different is by default somewhat exciting.
Otherwise I think multi-pronged action is the most fun, and bio play lends itself more to that.

Combination of bio always being used/mech slow push is fun to watch imo. There can also be plenty of fast paced harassment from mech with hellion runbys and hellion/widow dropoffs
