Noobs in this thread too busy balance whining to see that the opening didn't do enough damage and maru lost too much in the drops. It's as if Korean Zergs aren't doing well at the moment.

GSL is only getting better and better with each tournament.

eSF can only get to 43.75% in Ro16 if the best scenario for them happens.

Huh?

If Leenock and Life go through it's gonna be 50% eSF

One could argue about Parting as well, but I guess it's almost enough time for him to be considered KeSPA

Terran still ahead after soulkey defends that almost flawlessly...
Dunno how this is fair

"Ahead" is so relative. If the terran isn't able to put on further aggression but the zerg can do tech switches like this while outexpanding the terran himself, what's the problem?

It's maru's fault for being impatience and not waiting for a bigger deathball to finish the game off
Walking across the map with almost no AA vs someone you know has mutalisk is not very smart

The longer he waits, the more meaningless any early harass becomes as the zerg is able to drone freely after it

People need to look at the big picture, a strong harass doesn't mean game over especially when you have no way to capitalize on it.

No it doesn't, but still means you standard pre-viper timing will hit a lot stronger,
And you can actually scout for that really easily

Yet the pre-viper "standard" timing is arguably non-existant, considering how early vipers come out, how you need to blindly prepare for mutas by building multiple thors and how you can't get to that critical number of tanks and possibly lose to pure roach. It relies entirely on doing huge damage with harass to succeed against any competent zerg.

I'm just saying that mech is a niche style that has a pretty bad overall winrate, so I really do not get when people bitch and complain about small aspects of it such as hellbat drops.

btw, after todays games I'm pretty certain that Flash is going to get cheesed out of this GSL.
He is just flipping way too many coins in the early game and would have just outright lost various games today against early-midgame roach or ling/bling busts.

He's always played like that. Now future opponents might look at those openings and cheese while Flash can play a safer style without worrying about greedy opponent's taking advantage of it.

I think it´s time to drop the silliness of distinguishing between kespa and esf. They´re Korean pro-gamers.

Nah it's more fun to create these divisions so we can argue endlessly about these things and be at each others throats all the time

I guess because they posted after maru vs B4, and soulkey is rippin a new one to maru now.

Its quite obvious at least Ret was talking about Flash his matches rather then maru vs B4. He even calls him by name...

Not gonna lie, that makes me lose some respect for Ret.

So it's ok when infestors can just fungal everything and win, but it's not ok when widow mines force a bit more micro out of the Zerg? Plus, this is fucking FlaSh we're talking about, and he didn't even play against a top 5 Zerg... Completely uncalled for.

As if you can micro against 24 window mines which has lower priority than the 3 3 bioball.

Seriously...

I'd like to micro against widow mines, but its just not possible. Terrans should try one day to micro with the swarm against mines. They'd see.
Because, I can easily micro marines against banelings. I can micro the swarm agaisnt 4-6 widow mines. But i cant micro against 24 widow that my units doesnt even attack, they just run over it. I have to FOCUS FIRE every mine. I think terrans dont realize how hard it is.

yes that's true, if your entire army is ling/bling/muta then u are obviously fucked. it's not wise to defuse mines with melee units.

best thing is the T argument: "mass infestor is stupid and OP...lets do mass mine, thats fine". at least mines cost much less, come much earlier and are faster etc. ^^
Mines can also be tricked and have almost a minute cooldown.

yeah mines alone can be dealt with. mines that are protected by MMM cant be tricked. but yeah we will just have to wait for T nerfs or Z buffs. we´ll see how long it takes blizz this time. hope they are faster than with infestor nerfs ^^

so long just all in every ZvT

Bio protecting mines, I like it 2 Neurals and the Bio is gone. Anyway we had this before, Zerg being unable to reach t3 that would own the Terran. Blizzard decided to make reaching t3 easy and we had a huge problem.
I doubt Blizzard will change it earlier then Infestors and do anything big, that the people qqing will notice. Will be something around the lines of roach warren build time reduced by 5 seconds. Or get the medivac reactor for the boost.

Because right now I would say the Terran can do a bit more mistakes then the Zerg. But they have to be able to because of how the Widow Mine works. And at the end Zergs are still up there, they just don't get free wins anymore against weaker Terrans and can keep up with way stronger Terrans. For me the whole balance just looks to fragile to change and most maps are favoring Bio heavily anyway.
Because if Zerg can reach t3 easily then Terran is again dead. (except flash who somehow can kite Ultras easy peasy over the whole map and still macro without a problem)

Cannot wait though for Zergs starting to bust down all the Terrans after they found the Overlord Speed button and start to use Widow Mines to splash the Marines.

Artosis analysis was really true about how you want to engage bio+mine army was random and how you have to "feel it". I think one of the problem is how overseer is the only unit that detect invisible/burrowed unit, while it's still a little bit fragile and slower than the army, so if you want to engage on multiple front you can't have overseer for each little group of unit so every engagement are a gamble. Even in case where you travel the map with mutalisk, the overseer will be left behind as he's slower so you'll get hit if a random mine remains in the way.

There was a while in BW where he went CC first every game and it cost him a few losses. I just imagine he has to go through the pain period in SC2 again before he figured it out perfectly, if he hasn't already.
