It does but that would be more like GSL vs OSL/MLG or smth.

That's like saying "Go ATP players!" if there was anything else. There actually is a bit of an "old school" vs "new school" storyline to it though. KESPA guys mainly just came into the game, but are still kind of old school because they were the big dogs in BW. So they have a chip on their shoulder to be the big dogs here too. But the ESF guys are mainly BW castoffs who became the big dogs in SC2, so they have a chip on their shoulder because they don't want these upstarts coming in and taking their glory. When players like Flash and Life play eachother and give an amazing finals, it just makes the storyline that much more intense. Life, the definition of the new school champion, playing against Flash, the established long-time champ. And if there are two sides, everyone wants to pick one and root against the other. (I love Life though, and have ever since he was on Zenex, but that's beside the point.)

I don't think Fantasy or True are high on anyones list when it came to Kespa players in this GSL. That belongs to: RorO, Flying, Innovation, Rain, Parting, Soulkey, and Flash. All of which are going to stomp competition. Parting a kespa player. okay. because rising under the banner of esf is totally irrelevant as soon as you get your money from kespa. also, Life is still the best player in the world, and esf has plenty of players who can compete on high level aswell. it's really not that much of a skill difference nowadays and I don't think that either kespa or esf will domiante the other.

It's usually a shitstorm, one side acting smug, bashing players, spouting utter nonsense, depending on the results on a given day. Kespa vs ESF has done nothing positive in the way of hype, instead it has filled LR threads with baseless bashing of players and posters... Some people take it too far, but if you think taking it too far sometimes doesn't add to the hype than I question how many sports teams you've seen. Go into a Cowboys (American Football team) bar and start talking about how great the Giants or the Eagles are and you'll probably get a lot of shit. But at the end of the day, that's what brings a lot of fans in: rooting for the "hero" against the "enemy".
