5 immortals vs 2 immortals. herO tried blink harass but didn't get anything done with it so he was behind on immortals and got run over when they finally fought

hmm he hid it on low ground and hero didnt scout. he then took his third as a main after he lost his main, he went blink and paralyze went 3 phnx into immortal, he did a 5 immortal 1 collosus range timing off 2 base (hero was on 2 base too) and the immortals were too much

Paralyze defended the blink stalker attack very well, and thus could make the easier transition to Collosus while having more immortals. His phoenix harass also did some nice damage.
A year and a half ago nobody would have predicted this. You were lucky if one of the players STARTED a Nexus before 10 minutes. Look at this greedy shit. Somebody please 4 gate :p
surprised paralyze is still alive, devestating FF from bong, but paralyze saved his probes so he has a chance if he macros perfectly and gets a really good engage in all fights

He was way too close to snipe that nexus his immortal got forcefielded, proceeded to lose the engagement, then just derped

In PvP it is, but he is slowly evening it out and it looks like it will come down to who has best position in the battle.

The only reason Bong isn't out of the game is because of the map. Paralyze can't engage up there due to defenders advantage and wants to use his superior economy to seal his victory once he gets another base.

You are quite right, it's something commonly known, both SNM and Whiplash are terrible casters with zero game sense and, for lack of a better word, wooden league game knowledge. So don't be surprised, just ignore them. Lets just hope Kespa will field better english casters in the future.

not saying it doesn't take skill to enforce good engagements. it does. but even if both players engage equally, colossus firing patterns cannot be controlled and can result in random landslide "win" for one player

I'm waiting for the day (probably hots) where one player hides a bunch of Void Rays and pops out with like 8 Void Rays in the final Laser battle.
That definitely doesnt work in WoL, apparently VRs are really good in HotS though so maybe
Voids feel like the new meta in PvP. The prismatic alignment means they beat stalkers, so realistically, only phoenix or archons/storm would be good against them, but phoenix would be useless against a counter from the opponent with a ground army.

The patterns can be controlled with a good engagement. It's not random, it's finding the opportune time to engange, and not getting caught in a bad engagement. It's much more complex then mass coll and both players 1a into each other.
That stigma is why most people hate PvP, but these games have been great!

I agree with this. They are a ton better from their first cast, and they are getting better. They do have the knowledge of the game, they just need to work on putting it to words better. And they also need to research on individual styles of players (More so for EGTL since they seem to be pretty knowledgeable of the kespa players).

also hiring/firing casters every month when the community doesnt like them is bad for business, when you hire someone for a job its not that easy to just fire someone, you need to give them severance etc, and then go about hiring more people, its expensive and time consuming. helping your casters improve/letting them work on casting is how you do it. these casters are obviously trying hard to improve, and its paying off. give them more time and they will be great casters, but flaming them so mercylessly every time they cast is counterproductive and just immature. giving helpful feedback is great on the other hand

The worst thing for them, imo, is they are not in game. They have to rely on the observer just like the rest of us and cannot check anything themselves. That;s probably the hardest thing. Also yeah, Whiplash was a GM on NA, which is probably more then the original poster can ever hope to be (unless he is also GM, in that case, sorry ^^)

stephano hardly ever does stephano roach that much anymore, its an outdated build and is easily countered, it just so happened that it was the right decision that game.
and when the hell does guessing a game plan wrong make you a bad caster? every caster tries to predict what a player will do and is often wrong. artosis/khaldor/apollo. EVERYONE has done this.

The forcefields weren't the problem. If soo builds an infestation pit at any point, he wins with all that banked gas. I heard fungal was pretty good against sentries. Hell, he could have built mutas and gone for a basetrade.

Not true
Antiga is really toss favoured. Immortal sentry all in hits before any Infestors can come out then it is just GG if they get to the third.
It's that way on basically any map. You have to engage in the open field to beat immortal sentry. soo didn't do that. He also had ample time to build an infestation pit, and stubbornly refused to.
Say what you want about Soo that game, but I'm very impressed by Bongs execution up until the "I'm-gonna-go-kill-you-now" engagement at Zerg natural. Obviously that was poorly done by him, but all in all I thought he played very well that game.

I was up to 12 right off of a streak of 14 correct in round 1. Tanked my ranking.
This all-kill business has completely fucked up my ability to predict outcomes.
Yeah me too. Immediately following Up/Down, I was in 4th overall I think, but there's too much variability in the AK format. R1 had the nice set up for betting. I suppose that means we actually are good at picking winners, as that does seem more skill based?
Interesting to see Rain fall again without winning a single game. Hopefully he comes back to dominate. SKT T1 being on a losing streak is worrisome for SKT T1 fans. SKT T1 fighting!

CJ Hero is Rains Kyptonite. CJ Hero has actually beaten Rain 4-0 if you include today's victory and his WCS victory (which isn't included in the TLPD).

Skt has a bad habit of slipping in the ranks at this part of the season. I really think SoO deserves the bench for a while and maybe fantasy too.

really? wow, that's pretty impressive. Rain essentially massacred most in the GSL before he was stopped by MVP and then winning the OSL 4-1 over DRG was just .... Never thought someone will have that kind of a record against him though, interesting to say the least

wonder if it's the format of the season hmm. Ya, I agree, maybe SoO needs the bench, not sure about Fantasy. He still plays decent but he got outclassed by Light in their previous matches and again today against Effort(that early surround was sick lol).

My FPL team this season is soooo bad. I thought it'd a good strategy to go for two big aces, Rain and TaeJa, since it was all-kill format after all.. And they both turned out to be two of the worst value players this season
Could've gone for Fantasy + Flash, would've given me more points I guess. But the strategy was flawed either way, I guess.
