Sad about the loss but not that sad because I know why it happened. idk.. jyp is pretty damn good historically in team league man.

Ace JYP? Really? I mean yeah he sometimes 4 gates or cannon rushed unknowing Kespa players and then goes out of the booth with a smile on his face but playing him as ace when you have such a good roster is stupid. I concede that maybe Taeja*s wrists were hurting but then send out Hero instead of Huk. Huk played a 6 minute game and lost. Hero*s PvP is pretty top class now(he beat Genius ans sOs 3 days ago while Huk*s wins in up ans downs mainly came from PvT as even he said). I have to say it: only EG players were sent out today by EG coaches that will still be EG coaches even after the EG-TL partnership for PL ends so EG lost today. GG all

Is there a reason EG-TL chose not to send out two of their three best players? Just for funsies?

With TL'Snutes ZvZ this would have been a wrap. Pity he aint in korea yet.

Nice to see Stephano do well.

Ok, so it's pretty obvious a lot of you have never watched Proleague prior to this season.
You are not privy to the planning that went on before the match or what the training conditions of the players are. You don't spend time with them or see what their in-house results are. So to whine about someone like JYP being sent out for the "ace match" (and there is no ace match in Winners League, or the other rounds this year, for that matter) when his record in that matchup is perfectly fine is both mindboggling and depressing. Just stop.

I didn't catch the games, but I was really surprised to see them sending out Huk. I mean, kudos to him for getting to Code S and all that jazz, but he really doesnt strike me as a solid Proleague player. Really glad to see Stephano getting sent out and earn that shit too, but they need to use their Taeja and Hero also... :/
EDIT: Hell, Jaedong's ZvZ is pretty fucking scary, he probably should have been sent out as the last player, considering he has ALOT of PL experience. But JYP was a fine choice as well; he has really good PvZ and has really stepped up his game in the PL format.

Apparently, TaeJa's wrist problem is a bigger issue:
Hwanni @EGHwanni @Tauchsieder89 @EGHwanni if u saw Taeja's wrist condition u cant say that 4:20 AM - 12 Jan 13 · Details That makes me a sad panda, as I have him as my FPL captain.

When the score is 3-3 that is a ace match because the one who wins the next one wins the game, it doesn*t have to be 2 players sent out at the same time(logic). Putting a player with few or no accomplishments in that position is setting yourself up for defeat, no matter his history in the match-up. Think that over.

When Stephano lost, EG-TL already lost. Why ?
Because next map was a map with a build order which gave auto-win for zerg against protoss.
Teaja wrist is in a very weak condition.
So there were only Hero & Jyp. Only protoss. We had already lost.

He at least has better "accomplishments" in PL(which is different from stuff OUTSIDE PL. Look up their results) than HerO. Some say it's because of HerO's nerves, which could be worse if he's sent out when the score is 3-3.

I am out of this conversation, can*t talk sense into senseless people. Huk choice this game was bad, as was Thorzain choice vs SKT. Fortunately there EG won, here, not so lucky.

When you have max 4 players to use in a match because of the format throwing away one pick is all that is needed for a loss. GG dudes

Relax people, EGTL is ONE team in Korea, don't see it as two different teams and treat it as one.
Exactly. They can't really hope to compete in proleague if they only use one team (and the weaker one at that).

Ridiculous...

JYP has been a damn good workhorse and me one shot at stemming the poor poor choice of steph being on my anti-team... Not because I dislike stephano--but he was supposed to go full foreigner, instead be went full on stephano and I'm about to lose all chance of breaking top 200 once the Khan game rolls around...

TaeJa is resting his wrists. He might be ready next week.

Man, I'm so "disappointed" about Stephano not having an all-kill knowing that he was playing for the first time in Proleague. Could have been something really epic. Anyway, he did very well. (i know zvz is not his best game) As for EG-TL sending Jyp in the ace match, I really think that was a bad decision (now seeing how bad that map is for PvZ).
All in all, EG-TL did good, hope they bring in the full artillery for the next round.
