Not gonna lie, Thorzain would've been the better choice. I don't want to blame it on JYP, but I do agree with posts that point out that not all maps you can safely FFE on, so I'll go with blaming 80% the coaching, and 20% the imbalance of the map hahaha. Stupid Hwanni, I wanted my +1 team win point for Revival. T_T

Oh, so THAT'S what people were referring to on Twitter. That looks like a modified form of (electrified) acupuncture. This is what everyone was saying his wrist surgery was? Oh my goodness... I think there's a good chance it's not nearly as serious as that.

Taeja was show having operation on twitter.
HerO got the worst nerve of all, plus he failed hardcore against hydra last round
PuMa was banned from Caldeum for life after that ingenious 2rax lift
TZain? please
Zenio is considered worse than JYP, at least in vZ

So yeah that left JYP, a decent toss with once-great PvZ on a protoss map.

Can you explain HuK, please? And HerO does NOT have the worst nerves of all. He DOES get visibly emotional, but yet he has a habit of winning championships even under those nerves. I think we should play winners.

And what's wrong with Thorzain for the ace? If Taeja really is out of commission, playing Puma or Thorzain on that map isn't too bad.

I don't think playing JYP is the worst decision by far, I just think it's clear enough that it's not the BEST decision. Play HerO, if you can't play Taeja. Put some faith in him. He beat Stephano not too long ago in a BO5, I think, on his way to a championship (the details are fuzzy, but basically I'm not afraid when he plays against Zergs even though he somehow has this reputation for that being his weakest matchup).

Huk just qualified for code S. He deserved a shot. JYP has a PvZ win rate over 60%. Thorzain does not. Puma does not. Puma is 0-3 in Proleague so far. I don't understand what's going on.

Huk got out of his U&D group and HerO didn't. Not saying HuK is the better player, but he wasn't a bad pick in PvP. Please CJ was probably preparing for HerO more than HuK.

JYP the worst decision vs a Zerg, you Sir are a genius!

Why the frick shouldnt he send JYP? He is a monster vs Zerg and if you're not familiar with that check his results vs Z

And sending Huk after managing to get to Code S: Also a bad idea, cause, you know...uhm...oh...uhm...yeah thats just a bad idea... .

If anything I would have send HerO for PvP, he won both his PvP at the Up and Downs. Also I want a herO vs HerO match.

He just threw away another win with stupid decisions.

what would you say if hero gets send out and chokes? like he did many times before? cause he is so emotional.

Hero is still 100 times better overall than JYP and also he is really good vs Zerg. Hero would have stomped Hydra with his monitor closed and hands tied to his back.
Even Taeja would have won.
And Jaedong eats GSL zergs for breakfast.
HOW TF can you send out JYP in this situation? What did the other players worked and won points for? So all would go down the drain by a really stupid coach decision?

Nah, Hydra slowling rushed HerO in the first round and won in 10 minutes, it was not even funny (because I'm a TL fan T T)

Was that on cloud kingdom, where he sent out his first zealot too far and missed the block with his probe or something?

Well, when you know the outcome, anyone else would have been a better choice.

Honestly, for people bashing the coaches, I would love to see your FPL teams to see how many 'horrible' choice you make.

One reason for no Liquid players might be that Hero and Taeja have been practicing for GSL up an downs and haven't been playing on the kespa maps while the coach probably had the EG players practicing on those maps.

Why blame JYP, and why challenge his skill. Both are considered to be solid code-S level players. He really was one of the better players to send out at that point, methinks.

Pretty sure people like you are the retarded ones. If you don't understand these tweets, it's called a lack of confidence. He probably asked to not get sent out.

Looks like they're going with the "give EG player max exposure" strat rather then the "best shot at winning" strat. Oh well, at leat Stephano did well.

I don't think people are retarded, but the general idea behind your post is something I wholeheartedly agree with. HerO has given us a track record of tournament results. JYP hasn't, right? I follow the SC2 scene quite closely and I can't remember any notable results from JYP for awhile. Yet he somehow is just know to be the superior PvZ player, for some reason.

I don't think the coach had a choice of who to sent out tbh...
Ready players: Zenio JYP HerO Tfunk Puma

Zenio: decent zvz player, gamble a zvz for a win
JYP: "PvZ specialist" decent performance in PL so far
HerO: Shaky performance lately, openly admits PvZ is his worst
Tfunk: limited showings so far with 25%(?) win rate... shaky choice
Puma: have yet to win a PL match

i'd pick JYP or HerO 50/50. if i picked JYP today i'd pick HerO tomorrow.
