But I really can't watch a bo7 grand finals starting at 2am on a monday morning when I have to go to work 6 hours later. If you're gonna do that have it a) be a saturday or b) let there be free vods for the finals. That's just simple logic. Anything else is just a big fuck you to everybody in different timezones. Which sucks because I love watching NASL. It's impossible to schedule in a timezone that lets everyone watch. Especially for a live event, as they are constrained by the hours of the venue. The finals being on a Saturday is important? Only if you are one of the relatively few people that get to work M-F only. Of course, I'm capable of going to work, coming home, going to sleep immediately, and waking up more or less at the time something starts, and staying awake for the 15 or so hours that watching + work runs. YMMV, depending on your ability to adjust your sleep schedule around the tournaments. It's a matter of convenience, and if it's not convenient, that's not their specific problem. They are serving a different audience, and they are well worth the cost for HD/VODs given the amount of content for the price. Sure, finals may be in daylight in the US for EU tournaments, but how many people get off of work early enough to catch them? (Okay, I do. But I work from before 8am CET to about 5pm CET. Which sounds nice, except I'm in CST. And my "Monday" is Sunday.) Anyways, enough about all that. Violet gonna win.

I'm just afraid that this HotS showmatch will have both players only playing to win in the most efficient manner possible. That to me just screams money match, not show match.

When Boxer did BW showmatches with Yellow, I don't think there was any added prize for the winner. Entertaining the crowd was the greatest priority, even more so than winning, so Boxer went out of the way to build battlecruisers and nukes. Yellow built a queen and taunted Boxer by infesting his CCs. Of course, they also trash talked each other. You do know white-ra is playing, right?

I doubt many people think that is fun, but I might be wrong.

Hard to bet against solid ZvP these days. HerO looked pretty dominant against Taeja and Polt but Violet should follow up his 2nd place at IPL with a win here. We'll see if ViOLet can keep his cuddly swarm together against HerO.

Is this some kind of joke? some people like seeing things other than hardcore top-level competition sometimes. if you don't, fair enough, iron squid is on right now and should probably go just about until the actual finals of NASL are starting, to go watch that i guess. personally i'd rather watch a hots showmatch and a silly FFA than another WoL ZvP and a WoL TvZ between a good zerg player and a much better terran player who might just end up losing anyways.
