I think pretty much everyone who is able to take part in this tournament will certainly try to play their asses off to be able to place high, no matter who they are. I love this kind of tournament where the stakes are really high- This is a big chance for the "nonames" such as Vibe to make it big. And overall, judging from the players who are in the bracket it should be a pretty great tournament. My favourites are Stephano and Nerchio although I'm a bit sad that Naniwa isn't taking part. No matter what, the winner of this tournament will be remembered.

Parting1st, Illusion 2nd Parting > Socke Illusion > Fenix Parting > Illusion Socke > Fenix Illusion > Socke Group B: Suppy 1st Vibe 2nd. (If it wasn't for both of them having amazing ZvZ I wouldn't bet on them, but you gotta pick some upsets sometimes.) Group C: Sen 1st, Grubby 2nd. (HuK might be able to beat Grubby due to him being a PvP champ, but I feel like going for the safer bet here). Group D: Rain 1st, Babyknight (very straightforward actually) Group E: Stephano 1st, Hero 2nd (I want to believe Hero!) Group F: Curious 1st, CJ_Hero 2nd (again, pretty cut and dry. Maybe Major can beat the odds though). Group G: Lucifron and... fuck it, state I suppose Group H: Scarlett 1st, Nerchio 2nd. Creator gets upset. Acer is awesome. This would set up the bracket as follows: Parting Nerchio (Parting's PvZ is BAAAAD lately) Nerchio Nerchio Suppy Suppy State Rain Sen CJHero CJHero Rain Rain Rain LiquidHero Stephano Stephano State Stephano Curious Curious Grubby Stephano Lucifron Lucifron Vibe Scarlett Scarlett Scarlett Ilussion And then Rain 4:3 Stephano in the Finals, Scarlett 4 : 2 Nerchio in the semifinals. Edit: Shit, the spacing didn't work out there at all.

I expect IdrA to get beat handily by RorO, but his matches against HerO and Stephano should be interesting. (If only because HerO has been struggling lately vs Zerg and Stephano's ZvZ is lackluster) + Show Spoiler + Also, this: when you look at the top SC2 players, the thing that makes them distinct is rarely their macro Rarely, for sure. But some players are known for their macro, however few they may be. IdrA is one of them. He consistently shows up to fights with a handful more units than his opponents, or a slightly bigger bank because he maxed a little sooner, etc. His decision making and his unit control is not on the same level as someone like Stephano, but his mechanics and his macro are a little better. Second, Stephano spends a lot of his APM on army control, which is why you see him missing an inject / creep spread from time to time. This isn't because he's incapable of creep spreading / injecting; it's because he chooses to prioritize army control over those things, which is why he gets great engagements. This, I agree with this 100%. I just feel like IdrA, instead of prioritizing army control, prioritizes injects, creep spread, and general macro. It's a different style of Zerg. Unit Control Stephano > IdrA. But macro IdrA > Stephano. It will be a great series for sure. I'm not actually denying that I think he has a really good chance of being eliminated right away, I just don't agree with what those other people were saying about him getting swept without taking a single map. The only 2-0 he was dealt at the last MLG was at the hands of Soulkey, who just made Code S Ro8 by beating Life 4-0. You have it all mixed up. Stephano's ZvZ is good, Idras is average. The only zergs he loses too are top Koreans. He regularly beats the 'second best' foreign zerg (Nerchio). Who has Idra beaten recently in ZvZ that makes you say it's better than Stephanos? Stephano has a better winning percentage vs better competition. Here's a look at some common opponents: stephano vs vibe 2-0 idra vs vibe 1-2 stephano vs nerchio 9-5 idra vs nerchio 0-4 stephano vs zenio 2-2 idra vs zenio 0-4 And Im the biased one xD Idra is gonna get embarrassed by Stephano when they play.

With all the PvZ with foreign zergs I expect it to run well over the time.
