As long as zerg has a giant mass of infestors, it is borderline impossible to beat. Beasty played amazingly in the late game but it felt like JRecco had a mass of infestors and beasty couldn't do anything about it. Basically his mistake was letting the game go to the lategame. Doesn't make for fun games to watch.

On a different note, I'm not convinced Beasty gave a fuck about that game. He's advocated pretty strongly that a super passive terran like that isnt going to win. I'm curious if he was the last to actually play his set and Empire had already won 3-0 ?
edit: On second thought I'm mis-remembering stuff Beasty's said, I think

If Recco had lost any significant number of infestors, he would've lost, but because infestors can counter literally everything with fungal, neural, and infested terrans, beasty's attempt at winning in the lategame was useless.

i am calling foul play by kas. he's lubing up his hellions with grease.

happy 2-0, nice to see : ) : )

setting up for the 3 queen counter attack to harass the mineral line at the fourth.

well that went stupidly, i am zerg and i feel bad for kas..

This has been a ton of enjoyable commentary by iNcontroL tonight. I love Whoopie Goldbergs as well.
As far as that super long game, I wonder if it would be viable to trade ghosts for infestors, rather than dropping futile nukes all game. It was painful to see the zerg's gas at 10k while the terran's dwindled. Banshee's might be viable as well. It's a bad mineral trade but decent for gas, and you have more control over your units creating success, rather than hoping a nuke works.

really good damage control by kas when he got caught with his pants by the brood lord infestor tech.
