Standard LR rules apply: No balance whining, no KeSPA vs. GomTV inciting, no excessive derailing ESPECIALLY when games are on. This is not a thread for you to argue with other people. |

I would agree with you until seed became a GSL champion, losira came close to two all-kills, and yongwha has already had two all-kills this season.
IM - the greatest ever? Yankees of SC2?

That is why I expect MVP to win the final :D I don't even really understand that, he crushed Symbol straight up in Ro8 without even using any mindgames afaik. Well MVP is not exceptional strong mechanically. He wins his games through strategy but even more through decision making. He does not have crazy micro and macro skills like fellow Terrans Taeja, Byun or Marineking, but he knows how to solve problems he's facing much better than anyone else. This will be definately an interesting finals. On one hand we have the incredible gifted Life with the best mechanics we have ever seen from a Zerg player (sry DRG, but this is it!) and on the other hand MVP with his great preparation and decision making. Could make up for a great finals but could be very one sided either way too.
I don't understand this.... MVP vs Symbol in Ro8, MVP was almost always equal on supply or ahead of zerg - maybe Symbol was just macroing poorly, but I've seen MVP do it alot. MVP's multitasking is also pretty insane too, if you watched IEM; his drop harrass was just as good if not better than alot of other top terrans(always taking out other bases, or attacking somewhere when the zerg pushes across the map.
On top of all of this he also picks builds, hits at perfect timings and prepares for people alot better then these other terrans too. People really try to downplay MVP's actual skill and mechanics for some reason. Dunno why.

PartinG had done much the same as Rain this season, crushing everyone in his path. Mvp is just a washed up shadow of his former self, with a wrist injury to boot, right?
Wrong. Even if Rain had crushed Mvp 20-0 in other tournaments, that doesn't mean a DAMN THING to Mvp right now. The GSL is Mvp's playground. Rain is trying to get a legitimate claim to best in the world, but he can't do that unless he beats Mvp on his home turf. You can talk about Rain's amazing run all you want, but the truth is EVERY SINGLE TIME people count Mvp out, he wins. GSL is Mvp's home turf, where he thrives in this EXACT kind of environment. Throw out your statistics all you want, but they don't mean a damn thing to Mvp.
If Mvp wins, Rain is another derailed hype train, just like so many before him. But if Rain wins, he will win this season of GSL and be on the road to immortality. Rain couldn't get the job done. He had all the hype and momentum in the world behind him and he still couldn't beat Mvp. Mvp proves once again that he is the best. Wth. You make it sound like Rain just got outplayed. It was a close 3-2 series. Dont be bitter because your player lost horribly. ...I was rooting for Mvp.
I didn't say he got outplayed, I said Mvp solidified himself as The Great One, which he is.

Two things : -Never bet against Mvp on GSL ground. (T.T) -Fuck yeah TvZ final, best match up.

We did a brunchcraft for the DRG - Genius finals, and it was a massive success. We were planning another for these finals, but unfortunately it will start two hours earlier. It's not looking so good.

lol No one was saying Life was one of the weakest players in Ro16 during group selection. This guy is TSL4 2nd place and a monster in Korean weeklies.
This guy isn't even playing this game full time and he is consistently 1#GM in Korean Server along with Creator.

They tear through groups like nobody's business, but they tend to fall in the matches.

It really all just shows how little the foreign scene knows about Korean players skill levels... I remember when Polt was one of the most disliked and overlooked players, until he went to a few foreign tournaments and beat foreigners then all of a sudden he's amazing, sick good top tier terran(which he is, but still, people didn't think this beforehand).

IM - 1 GSTL championship despite the most stacked lineup in SC2. Yankees - 1 World Series in the past decade despite the most stacked lineup in baseball (usually)
If that's what you meant, then yeah the comparison is apt.

Mvp is the best at TvZ and at preparation for BoX. He is the scariest and hardest opponent in finals ever but I will hope and believe that Life can do it. LIFE HWAITING!!! I really really hope it will be the best finals ever!

I don't think he is fulltime. He mentioned in an interview he ask permission from his teacher to take a day off just to play at the GSL. (He said this after he all-killed TL and another time in Code S Ro16 or Ro32)
He mentioned in his interview after beating MKP that he was in the process of transferring school and that's why he had a lot of time to practice.
