I would like to express my greatest gratitude to our World Wide Sponsor Samsung for another great WCG Grand Final. Once again, I was blow away by the venue, exhibition booth, all the stages and the crowd. Also big thanks to Samsung Canada for their WCG 2012 support. They made all 3 Nationals Finals and the trip to China possible. As a big Starcraft 2 fans I’m proud to say that only Korea, China and Canada did send the maximum of three Sc2 gamers. Our team did well event if we didn’t bring any medal, each of them put out a great show on stage to entertain the Chinese spectator. Our FIFA players did also well with 2 out of 3 getting out of their group, but let’s just say that we have probably more chance to win medals at Ice Hockey than football.

Big thank to G4 Box & Z8Games our Gold partner and main sponsor for our Crossfire team. For the second year in a row Team Canada did well, even if we didn’t pass the group play, we can proudly say that we lost to the Silver and Gold Medalist. As a fan of FPS in the early day of esport, I always enjoy competitive gaming team atmosphere, players can sometime be a little bit cocky trying to motivate their team mates, but when the game is over team shake hand and rival become quickly friend.

I will also like to thanks all the people implicate in our National Finals broadcast with our silver partner Twitch.tv. We are pleased to offer a stream in the 2 Canadian official languages and all the Caster, Co-Caster and Stream Producer did an excellent Job. Vods of the semis and final for each National Final are available on the Highlight page on the twitch channel.

I will like to thank all the people who supported WCG Canada 2012, all of our Bronze partner, especially all the volunteer form E-Sport Canada and LANETS. We our fortunate to have eSport fans willing to rally around event like WCG. Competitive gaming has a great future in Canada with organization like those. Don’t miss the next LANETS on March 1-2-3! Hope to see a lots of WCG Canada fans there!

Finally I will like to thank Thierry St-Jacques Gagnon, the CEO of WCG Canada who did an unbelievable job during the years to bring esport to Canadian fans and build the team who represent Canada at the most International esport event of the year.

Sorry for the late post, after all the work I put in to WCG 2012, I took some holiday in China! Really nice country to visit and great news WCG 2013 will also be in Kunshan!
