Hopefully EG talks to him about how often he says that. Would be much easier to get behind him if he showed some passion for the game. It seems like he doesn't care much about competing :/. So he plays for the money, he's cocky and not very passionate. Who cares? He's still a genius. He outplays people who practice twice as hard, he powers through marathon tournament after marathon tournament, he's constantly analysed and discussed but still people can't take him down. That's why I love him. He's so damn good at this game. I honestly don't care whether or not he's good or bad for esports, good or bad at PR, how he brands himself, where he vomits, all that bullshit. He's a magician when it comes to actually playing the game.
I think if eSports will ever be something like normal sports players should learn something about sportmanship , winning and earning $ shouldn't give you the right to be arrogant and act like a mercenary.

To be fair, a bunch of nerds dancing in a room with 15:1 male to female ratio is fairly awkward.

Even though Grubby was the fan favourite, I'd bet it wouldn't be half as good as this if he had won.

I wish he did later tonight but that will be not stream

The "Humble Korean" act doesn't fly with foreign audiences... it's boring. Nobody wants a guy to go up there and pretend he is so humbled by the experience, so grateful, bla bla bla. The dude just smashed the best Europe has to offer and took home a $25 grand. He should be hyped and he should be cocky.
All the haters can keep on hating, because it's obvious that Stephano draws the crowds. Any tournament he is in, the stream numbers show it. Hell, look at the stream numbers as soon as he starts playing... they always spike and drop when he is done. Whole tournaments suffer when this guy is knocked out early (doesn't happen often...).
Much better, IMO, than half these guys who get up on stage and offer no conversation or emotion at all.
Naniwa can be as "passionate" about the game as he wants... doesn't seem to be getting him too far. Maybe money and success are better driving factors.
Indeed. Exactly what I was saying. If we didn´t have Stephano, eSports would lose an important personality. I personally love him for that. Bring on Stephano and eSports will grow!

Insane props to the DreamHack crew for an epic weekend. Compliments to the casters and host, the great players and ofcourse the audience. What an epic weekend of StarCraft II we had here.

Yeah =(
It will probably only have 4/32 T representation unless there's some big surprises at wcs asia

Along with everyone else in this thread, I really enjoyed the tournament.
Victory for Stephano was just icing on the cake

Lol I love watching how awkward the ceremonies are! So many nerds gathered in one place that spend so much time practicing that they have no interpersonal skills, that's something that, if changed, could really make eSports more presentable to the public

Congratulations to DH for succeding this much, this is surely one of the best events in SC2 so far, if not THE best. The players were great, the games were great, the place was awesome, the crowd was nice, the hosts were top notch, the casting was cool, even the LR thread is a victory compared to others, all in all it was just a really cool event, highly competitive, yet funny in every sense of the word
Awesome, hope to see a lot more events!

For you it would be, if you are looking to stick your dick somewhere....

long way to go, MLG. they try new stuff like every event but they just dont get it. their system is still terrible and a lot of what they do seems weird to me - well, and also the fact that u get to see about 20% of the games without paying...
