Bly >> KrasS First, a lot of "bad things" I have heard about Krass, "he is unworthy of this tournament", "Germany doesn't deserve 4 seeds" Probably the fact that Germany has 4 seeds, France 3... seems unfair, I would have given 3 to Germany, 2 to France, and I believe that Finland probably deserves 2 seeds, (specially after watching the Namaa vs Elfi finals), Sweden 4 and Ukraine 3. And 1 seed should be still arranged from other country... But well it isn't as bad as some say, just a small fix here and there, and the line up of this tournament is still awesome. Anyway this is not the point But that beeing said, we have the great players we have, so I say, give the guy a chance. He did win against Delphi, Heromarine and DBS and even took a game from Darkforce in the German nationals, and those four players are really good, so let's give him a chance! That beeing said, anything which isn't a 2-0 by Bly would be a great surprise. MaNa > DeMusliM Mana PvT is sick, and even after losing to a full terran group in the GSL, we can't forget who they were. Demuslim is probably one of my favourite terran players nowdays, and of course he will have chances, but I think Mana is the favourite. Noticimus > VortiX I am a Vortix fan myself, and his great performance in the IEM Cologne, along with his good performance in the TSL4, has given him a lot of credit. He even sounds as one of the favourites and maybe he is, but it is not gonna be a bed of roses for him. We have to remember that his strongest matchup is ZvT. In the other hand Noticimus is moreless an unknown player (just as Vortix was before summer) but his great performance in the Norway nationals against two top zergs (Snute and TargA) and the fact that he has been practicing with him a lot lately makes me think that he is gonna beat Vortix in this first round, but do not count Vortix out of the whole thing yet. Nerchio > SortOf One of the hardest choices of the first round... yes, Nerchio has been playing amazing these last months, and he even won the Nvidia Cup this week (okey it is Hots beta, but you have to be on good shape for that too). Sortof has shown he indeed has a quite deadly ZvZ and in the most chaotic of the mirror matches, anything can happen, I will give Nerchio credit for his overall greater skill but, if anyone can beat Nerchio, Sortof is definitively one of them. Grubby > sLivko Sick match, I think Grubby can win this thanks to his amazing control, but if he lets Slivko to play at his pace, then the russian zerg will crush Grubby. I really expect an amazing even match to watch . Ret >> JeaL Sorry JeaL, yes you beated both Cloud and Stareagle in the Italian nationals, so you trully deserve to compete in the WCS Europe but here against you is Ret, the king of drones. White-Ra >> Orly The beast from the East will have no mercy on Orly. It was a pity we didn't have a Feast vs Orly duel in the belgium nationals to trully see in what shape Orly is in ZvP. But White Ra knows too many special tactics, he may be the nicest guy outside the games, but when he is playing he has a deadly PvZ. BabyKnight > Seiplo Okey... another veeeeery dificult matchup, any of these players can win, both have great control. Seiplo is probably one of the most underated players around, and we have to remember he managed to 2-0 Sase in the Sweden Nationals, and played many good games. Ziktomini > DarKFoRcE Goood another sick ZvZ. Darkforce has one of the strongest ZvZ in europe, but Ziktomini crush JonnyReeco, Stephano and Bly, and he has a too much cool beard not to vote for him. LucifroN > Happy Happy TvT is pretty good, but lacks the variety of tactics of LucifroN, and the spaniard's control is incredible good. I think the one who wins the first match will advance, and would be a threat for future matches, and the one who doesn't advance will also lose in the losers bracket... yep it is just a hunch, but I believe both aren't the strongest in mind recovery so needed in these long tournaments. Socke >> Eeel Socke is not only a talented player but also has that experience which is so important in these LAN events. He will crush Eeel, for who beeing here is already a prize. Socke will also play with less preasure than most of his rivals, as he is already qualified for WCS Finals in china. TitaN >> StarEagle Titan's PvT is too good for StarEagle at this moment. I think Titan can win the whole think with a little luck, anyway he is already qualified for the WCS Finals so I expect really fun games from him. Naama >> Dayshi Dayshi isn't bad, it is just Naama is not only better, but has lots of viable strategies for everymap and matchup. He can biorush you or make 4 banshees at a time. Stephano >> HasuObs Tournament after tournament the last EPS winner, HasuObs always performs better than I expect. There, at EPS, showed against Bly that his PvZ is indeed strong. If only his rival wasn't the mighty Stephano. The only chance I give to HasuObs is that Stephano is having a pretty rough trip towards Sweden so he may have some jetlag issues. But Hasu is strong and resillient, even if he loses against Stephano, he can climb towards the top 6 vía losers bracket. ThorZaIN > NightEnD Another veeeery difficult matchup to predict, Thorzain has been one the best TvPs in the world, (Remember TSL3 when he beated Nony, MC and Naniwa??) but that time is a little far. NightEnD has a very strong PvT, and he is one of the most funny guys in the community. I think it will be a pretty close series, but Thorzain is playing home, and he has won 2 DH events already. JonnyREcco > LoWeLy JonnyRecco is probably one the better of this new young wave of SC players in europe. Lowely has shown really good games this year, but I think the new blood will win this ZvZ, but it will really be a little lotery, small details will tell who the winner is. Oh gosh I can't wait untill this great tournament begin!!!!! A lot of sick matches already in first round!
