TSL5 will really be imperative to the foreigner scene and I really hope things go differently then TSL4 Tell foreigners to suck less then.
I mean, I do not think that it is an unfair statement. Just as you have people who will favor seeing the best players at all costs, it is equally reasonable for people to wish for a more foreign based tournaments. There is nothing wrong with that.
At least, there is nothing wrong with that until the flaming gets going.

I don't think it's about the game. At least not to me. I just don't feel this edition of TSL, it's like an "ok" online event without anything special to it except for its heritage.

Not the deepest story line, no foreigners to root for. I think Life vs Creator will pull some more viewers but it seems like not a lot of people want to see Keen and Sting (which is a little bit sad, I like both of them)

But this tournament our hopes in vortix, jonnyrecco etc all fell down when forced to face the Koreans.

Thorzain, I remember in TSL 3, only 3 people voted for him to beat Fruitdealer in a poll of thousands. You just can't beat a story like that. Less offline tournies. No tournies where Koreans met Foreigners in serious competition. And less meta game moments.

TSL5 will really be imperative to the foreigner scene and I really hope things go differently then TSL4 The difference is that we now have a steady supply of east vs west offline tournaments. Wasn't that way back when TSL 3 happened. An offline tournament that only really stands out for its prizepool, I'm not sure that's solid plan to attract a lot of viewers at this point in SC2.

If there are enough people who feel differently, there are going to be very different results in hype, in viewership and in stature.
I do not think that trying to gauge a tournament on purely objective elements would give much insight into the situation. And I do not think this is a discussion that belongs anywhere near a live report thread.

Cmon Sting you just gotta clean that up and counter attack Keen's fourth.

Despite getting torn limb from limb, Sting still kept the supply similar. Not bad.
