Koreans will literally be banned in foreign tournaments in a few years or so just to protect the weak foreigners

i dont see how anyone particulary played bad. maybe except tail when he cheesed all 3 games against hero. seriosuly

reality pretty much out multitask and macro happpy so bad even in the game he lost.

effort 1st game was him easily defending gumiho drop play and just out macro him forcing gumiho to try to base race which didnt work out for him.

jaedong pew pew pew. to be fair genius alled in the 1st game too.

Not really. It will just become a new brood war.

BW died pretty much everywhere outside korea

BW died everywhere except Korea and TL.net. And that was pretty much fine by me. Hurting esports!

Oh, and China.

I also feel irritated by the patronizing attitude Kespa players are receiving now. This is so fucking humiliating, especially from BW fans.

Gumiho outplayed Effort in the first game. If he had some form of preparations against Brood Lords he would have won that match easy. He was so far ahead but was caught off guard vs BLs which he couldn't fight and tried to baserace.

lol no, its not because he killed one hatch or two that he was ahead. Effort pretty much tore him appart.

Bah, I'm tired of this GOM vs Kespa debate, I hope some GOM pros do well, and about Kespa, I mostly care about JD, I'm also starting to grow fond of Reality and Sun.

Yeah was cheering for all the KeSPA players today, not a big fan of any of the GOM players that were playing today.

That being said, KeSPA players are playing damn well. But they're not the best of the best yet... keep in mind they are in the Loser's Bracket for a reason (except Roro, who is really beasting it up)

Really want Jaedong to win the tournament, especially since the big name GOM pros I like didn't participate anyway...

Didn't participate, or didn't qualify?

Well since MC and MVP went for easy cash abroad, I only have Leenock, and maybe Creator to root for as far as GOM pros goes. It's too bad those 2 forfeited, they bring so much to their matches both in-game and out of it. I hope JD takes it but most likely a GOM protoss is gonna win it all, maybe Puzzle

Holy fucking shit.

4 for 4, elephants making me proud. Especially Jaedong's and Effort's wins, ridiculously and pleasantly surprised.

Hope their wins will be a huge confidence booster to their future games.

Then there will be no more foreign tournaments because people don't show up to watch less skillful players.

He was ahead in bases / supply / upgrades / income. Effort did a lot better scouting than Gumiho that had no idea about the Brood Lords. He was up 4 bases to 3. The only thing which could have broke his defense was BLs and yet he didn't scout for it / completely forget their timing. He had 0 vikings vs 7-9 Broodlords. They didn't even have support when he flew them towards Gumiho's base so if he had 4 vikings he could have killed all and won.

Effort had one chance to win the game and Gumiho didn't scout for it. Which made him lose the game. The KeSPA players are good, but they are not flawless (yet).

GSL players seem to have lost their game understanding. Maybe their are just too pressured by the situation, but the awful decisionmaking is the only reason for Kespa's players success. really frustrating to watch those games :o

Or maybe the Kespa players just played... better? I mean they are the better players afterall

If you don't watch the GSL on a regular basis I can understand your comment. Because this is not the usual level of play you see from a player like Genius. I don't know what's his problem, but in this WCS you see players who have shown brilliant play, decision making and adaption to unusual situations in the past, completely fall apart to, well really nothing special. It's not like Kespa players are showing some amazing never seen kind of play. It's just that they are the ones playing solid and standard and the GSL players completely fail against that. I wonder what's the reason is, but this has to stop. At least give them a real fight!

Lol, you can't keep using this excuse forever. 10 Bo3s in a row, vs players such as DRG and Genius. At some point you just have to give credit to the Kespa guys.

I never said they were awful, when they were totally outclassed by some high Code S players like Hero or aLive. Because this also happens with most of the current code A stalemates. But to say after these games, that the Kespa players are insanely good is just bullshit. They are at the level you should expect after nearly 1year of playing SC2 more serious (yes I know you will deny it, but they have played SC2 for much longer than the 6months that everyone talks about). They are on a good way and some will reach the top.
But that proven GSL players like Genius and Gumiho completely fail all over the place is shocking to me. They play really bad and then an okay performance as JaeDong showed is enough to beat him.
What did JaeDong show? He lost to an 2Voidray 6gate in game1, then took a buildorder win against Genius' dumb greediness and showed a standard, non spectacular mutaling basetrade in game 3, that Genius' should have won, if he just moved his army right into the main (after he killed the 3rd) and left only some stalkers in the natural (a tactical move that should be known to a GSL player imo!).
So we have ...
game1 : lose to a standard allin
game2 : Genius plays dumb greedy/risky and is punished for it, what I would consider as a total fail.
game3 : Genius with really bad decision making in a basetrade and therefor losing it, what I would consider a fail too.

And most of the Kespa wins go in that manner...

Don't get me wrong, it's not that they are playing bad, they play okay, but nothing to freak out about. The problem is that GSL players play way below their usual level...
nobody gives a fuck about what you think. Genius is pro and you are not so why the fuck should your opinion matter? Genius knows more than you do and based his decision making off it.

congratulations! You show everything that makes this community suck at times. Of course it's more important who you are than what you say. If you are a pro and telling or do bullshit than this is the way to go, while some random dude in the forum may have the right thoughts on a specific topic, but hey, he is just in silver league, so what does he know?
thank you very much for your ignorance! :-)

Glad to see KeSPA players beating SC2 'b-teamers'. No offense to anyone played in these matches. Im happy to see the BW pros at least getting some results quickly. I can't wait to see them play the upper tier of SC2 pros again.

lol?
More like Effort outplayed Gumiho in the first game and defend Gumiho multi-pronged drops really well.
Effort proceed to give Gumiho his own taste of his medicine by 10 pooling him.
Play your best
