Well, we will all see a lot more ZvZ's. With Kespa players winning.
Well, I've seen Kespa players win ZvZ's before. Hyun, NesTea....oh wait, those were former Kespa players.
Seriously, I don't know why people are so enamored with labeling players and taking up factions/sides.
I'm personally rooting for Jaedong!
The difference is that Hyun, Nestea, MVP, MC is that they are/were not practicing with players that were 2012 Kespa caliber.

Thx for the info, lastshadow, care to post some details on that? While being a bw fan myself I find it hard to believe they're 'raping faces' already. Gruesome metaphor aside, it does sound interesting.
Glad to see LJD win though, whatever the direction this tournament is going. JD for sc2 metagame bonjwa! -^

(which got me interested in BW) I'll watch no matter what the consequence

yeah my statement is poorly written and aggressive, but to the people saying that my comment is hypocritical because I say it after "they win a meaningless bo3" no, you forget I live in Korea, I've been seeing Kespa > GSL for 2months and I personally have observer'd games etc. I also talk to the koreans that I'm friends with quite frequently.

People judge too quickly. Preparation is where you see the player really snap necks. At first it was they can't beat GSL players. Then it's they can't beat Code S players. Now it's MVP and OZ. I bet you MVP and OZ are going to lose soon too.
Dude, I know they can beat people. I want to see how well they can read an opponent and adapt.

I agree completely. I mean, I tend to root for the current KeSPA players simply because I've been watching them play longer, but putting people into artificial boxes as a whole is silly. I think most lower to mid level KeSPA players will simply have to retire, but the S class players will always be good in any RTS because they're just a cut above in terms of raw talent and amount of practice. But it's not like all the KeSPA B-teamers are going to come wreck GSL or something.
Well I wouldn't even say, all top BW players will establish themselves at the top. But there will be definately some BW players getting there (some unknowns and some stars), while some longterm SC2 players will fall of while others will remain their spots. I have no fear for the current very top SC2 players like Squirtle, Marineking, aLive, MC, Seed, etc... but the "borderline Code S" players might drop off a bit...

OMG somebody with common sense. That even tops my excitment for the last game.

So, DRG falls victim in the latest of top GSL zerg victims list i.e. Nestea, symbol and leenock.. That doesn't bode too well.

Double expand for YuGiOh. Interesting build.
Man, lastshadow is posting in favor of practice? I love these Kespa players but using practice as an example? What? Really?

I know that feeling all too well, this transition is both exciting and frustrating in so many ways for me and LR threads are rediculous now.

You haven't seen a lot of ZvZ games if you think that's true. I've watched the GSL since open season 3, I'm sure that's true. I've seen DRG completely dominate ZvZ with excellent micro in games. Just because he lost today doesn't make it seem like "zomg, Kespa players doing something that's never been done before!" Which isn't true, cause it's been done before. On that note, damn is DRG doing terribly this past month. It makes it "zomg" because effort has played the game for 3 months while concurrently practicing brood war. That is why it is a big deal. And what I find funny about all of this is, Kespa teams are bringing in former GSL players/coaches to coach them so it accelerates the process. But no one even mentions that. It's done wonders for Jaedong's game though. I want him to go far. And er...has it been three months? I'm almost certain that the kespa players have been practising sc2 for way longer than that.
It's been a bit more than three months. Not much more by any means. They didn't even have computers capable of running SC2 a while back. Moreover, it's funny that you're certain despite no evidence. They have stated they started practising very recently, do you think they are lying? Especially when BW's future wasn't decided very long time ago.
