Yup, it's like when people release replay packs of them taking the occasional game off named pros on ladder and people take that to mean they are actually close to being competitive with them and should get a big tournament invite.

Or it's like when Kespa players win a few meaningless bo3's in WCS a few times and they're somehow amazing.

Wait..

Yeah. I can't wait till KeSPA players go up against Mvp and Oz etc in OSL/GSL. People judge too quickly. Preparation is where you see the player really snap necks.

You haven't seen a lot of ZvZ games if you think that's true.

Well, we will all see a lot more ZvZ's. With Kespa players winning.

Well, I've seen Kespa players win ZvZ's before. Hyun, NesTea....oh wait, those were former Kespa players.

Seriously, I don't know why people are so enamored with labeling players and taking up factions/sides.

I'm personally rooting for Jaedong!

I agree completely. I mean, I tend to root for the current KeSPA players simply because I've been watching them play longer, but putting people into artificial boxes as a whole is silly. I think most lower to mid level KeSPA players will simply have to retire, but the S class players will always be good in any RTS because they're just a cut above in terms of raw talent and amount of practice. But it's not like all the KeSPA B-teamers are going to come wreck GSL or something.

Well DongRaeGu is now officially in a slump. This was not his usual performance. Taldarim in the 3rd set definately favored Effort, but that can't be an excuse for him to lose in this kinda fashion. You'd expect more from him than going for a neverending ling/baneling war... Go into defending, add a 2nd queen and drone carefully while building up for expanding, that's what I expected him to do, after he saw in the first few attemps to pressure effort, that this doesn't work....
DRG has a lot of work to do to come back. And it's not that he loses in a specific matchup. He suffers defeats all over the place. Really sad

You haven't seen a lot of ZvZ games if you think that's true.

I've watched the GSL since open season 3, I'm sure that's true.

I've seen DRG completely dominate ZvZ with excellent micro in games. Just because he lost today doesn't make it seem like "zomg, Kespa players doing something that's never been done before!" Which isn't true, cause it's been done before.

On that note, damn is DRG doing terribly this past month.

It makes it "zomg" because effort has played the game for 3 months while concurrently practicing brood war. That is why it is a big deal.

And what I find funny about all of this is, Kespa teams are bringing in former GSL players/coaches to coach them so it accelerates the process. But no one even mentions that.

It's done wonders for Jaedong's game though. I want him to go far.

I have watched Effort since his debut and i am not to suprised by the results . Effort could keep up with Jaedong in ZvZ in his prime and Jaedong back then was a fucking monster .

About that, what is up with OSL? When does the ro16 even start? We've heard so little about it...

OSL better get some better scheduling up in this bitch before they can really start to compete with GOM.

At first it was they can't beat GSL players. Then it's they can't beat Code S players. Now it's MVP and OZ. I bet you MVP and OZ are going to lose soon too.

Seriously, it's getting to a pathetic level.

And of course there's zero moderation on that topic because it's actually supported -_-

Well, time to back out of these threads then.

It's not like CODE S players don't have a lot of raging fans that treat these KESPA players like code B or worse players and when they actually win or put up a fight they come with excuses. If respect was given were it's due no arguments would be happening.

Some Kespa players are already really good and not even full speed. Deal with it!

Oh come on, don't try to act like the victim here.
The thing that started this mess was the TL article which praised the kespa players like a god (remember the nonsenical 100 players stomping the sc2 compettion) off all over it and calling sc2 essentially a joke.

Actually it was even more nonsensical, the article said 300 pros and semipros could roflstomp the SC2 scene (or, as the article said, crush) withing a few months of switching. Such ridiculousness.

The funny thing is that the article predicted instant domination.
There is no domination. Nothing instant. It's been proven wrong.

But Kespa players doing well, can't we just be happy
