We shall see how many of them make it through Code B.

as someone who has followed both scenes I think taking sides on " kespa vs gom " is retarded, just pick players you like and root for them no matter where they come from.

Did you see him against Hero? He plays 1 good ZvZ series and now he's S-class? If you're a Starcraft fan you own him respect for what he accomplished in BW.
If you want to be totally fair, it is not impossible that he does not know of Effort's accomplishments in Brood War.
And discussing these things rationally while explaining things so that they become clearer is very, very difficult in a medium where people are shouting about elephants, forsaking gods and accepting new overlords left, right, south, west and possibly north-east.

i just noticed there is a HEAP of Kespa players supports in this thread. looks like the BW fans are starting to dominate the scene

Yes... It IS pathetic and it IS not moderated. I was waiting for the moment when someone would see that as well. The elephant war is even more sad than the balance war. A bunch of butthurts that are no "e-sports originals" because they did not play/watch BW and a bunch of other butthurts whose favourite game just died. All flaming each other.
The sad thing is the SCII guys with <500 posts are to be expected. Seing some guys, starcraft connoisseurs with 8k posts saying "some people are going to lose their jobs soon" and flame baiting is beyond me. And the lack of moderation is astonishing.

just because you're a "progamer" doesn't mean you somehow know more than everyone.

It's not like CODE S players don't have a lot of raging fans that treat these KESPA players like code B or worse players and when they actually win or put up a fight they come with excuses. If respect was given were it's due no arguments would be happening. Some Kespa players are already really good and not even full speed. Deal with it! Oh come on, don't try to act like the victim here. The thing that started this mess was the TL article which praised the kespa players like a god (remember the nonsenical 100 players stomping the sc2 compettion) off all over it and calling sc2 essentially a joke.

stephano has won 120k taking bo3s off koreans so I wouldn't say it was meaningless

You haven't seen a lot of ZvZ games if you think that's true. I've watched the GSL since open season 3, I'm sure that's true.
I've seen DRG completely dominate ZvZ with excellent micro in games. Just because he lost today doesn't make it seem like "zomg, Kespa players doing something that's never been done before!" Which isn't true, cause it's been done before.
On that note, damn is DRG doing terribly this past month.

Well, I admit I'm posting a lot of this stuff because I'm just pumped my favorite players are winning.
Logically, it's gonna be tough for JD going against Genius. But man, Effort winning against DRG. That is huge given DRG's 70% ZvZ winrate.

That was long before SC was hospitalized. And? He still has much more experience in SC2. Honestly, don't even try to use that as an excuse lol. Hyping up GSL players (SC) who is out of form just so you can make Kespa players look good. Relax brah, the one player I want to advance the furthest is Jaedong, but I did notice one thing. The GSL players that are losing to Kespa players have been Zergs. I legitimately wanna know why.
Reality? lol

Yup, it's like when people release replay packs of them taking the occasional game off named pros on ladder and people take that to mean they are actually close to being competitive with them and should get a big tournament invite.
Or it's like when Kespa players win a few meaningless bo3's in WCS a few times and they're somehow amazing.
Wait..

July for all he was/ is kinda of terrible at ZvZ was actually pretty good at ling baneling if I recall. Part of the reason he often gets away with not spreading creep in any matchup is he can do more with just a few well microed lings than most people and can negate the lack of the speed advantage creep would give him.

hero gogogo i want kespa players to win now ^^

Noooo I missed Effort!
How'd his games look?

For a game to go on that long with so many ling/bling wars, and even when he was microing lings vs blings, he barely messed up at all. DRG actually played to his normal level imo, he played well, but that was quite flawless from EffOrt. Spectacular even.
