Kas did pretty good in team leagues. Moreover, i remember a series against Zenio where he won pretty convincingly. Anyway, he looks like a really good player, but don't adapt to his opponents. He's playing tournaments just like he's playing ladder games.
Kas is usually a beast, but, just like you feel he is overestimated, i think Major is REALLY overestimated. Like, what did this guy won to be this much hyped ?

Even the best foreign player (besides Stephano) is shit compared to any Korean player Occasionally the ping from EU to NA can get really bad, like half a second delay and it really fucks up your play. But usually it's ok tbh. Kas is from ukraine, and probably playing from ukraine. Eastern europe latency to NA is said to be absolutely dreadful. if we're going to bring up the lag every time theres a beatdown in the TSL why even have the tourney? So sick of seeing the latency excuse when someone get stomped on. Kas got rolled over by a vastly superior player, lag had absolutely nothing to do with it at any point in time.
Well, I was just discussing ping not the results but if we're on the topic..
What do you mean lag had nothing to do with it? How do you know that. Lag is a thing that exists and it affects how you play.

Haha, Curious really has gone full Life in ZvP as of late...

The dichotomy of seeing Kas get owned like a guy trying out in a qualifier for his first tournament then immediately the next set we have two S class players

I'm pretty sure that lag is generally worse KR -> NA than EU->NA anyway. This topic was discussed over and over during TSL 3 and if I'm not mistaken, that was the conclusion people came up with. I heard that the earthquake in Japan had something to do with the KR->NA lag though, but I admit that I don't really know anything about why that might be true - just something I heard. If it's true though, then I suppose the KR->NA lag might be better now assuming the lag was due to earthquake-infliced infrastructure problems that might be fixed now. Of course, the earthquake explanation might be total bullshit and I might just be talking out of my ass in that respect, but I'm still pretty sure that it was established that KR->NA lag is generally worse than EU->NA lag, for whatever reason.

Because you can see just from watching them play that Kas isnt on the same level as Life, or any other mid to top korean pro. People who think that he is are delusional fanboys.

Like I said, no offense to Kas, but that is the exact problem I find with him. He has his style and he plays it to death. He's consistent, but when you run into a code S level Zerg, that isn't going to do you anything.
Major was regarded as one of the strongest BW foreigners AFAIK and he kind of dismantled HyuN in ro32.

That's not what I think watching Kas play. He's never gonna compete in Code S but he could take games off a few Koreans imo.

I'm pretty sure that lag is generally worse KR -> NA than EU->NA anyway.
I remember Llewellys, during the MSI Pro Cup saying that the worst was to play on Europe, because koreans have huge lags on Europe, but not so much on UE, and europeans have some lags on UE because their connection aren't as good as koreans'.
I'm not saying that Kas just failed because of lag, but Kas is usually way better than this. So were Darkforce. I mean, they already beat koreans convincingly, but when it's tsl "herr derr they are so bad herp derp", whereas it's usually not the case.
