MC has played greedy all the time and got away with it. Now someone outminded him and people are getting mad. SC2 community is weird sometimes. Also 1 gate to expand is also one type of cheese, it is just economical cheese, still cheese nonetheless.

PvP is fine, Seed is just 2classes above MC today. You don't get good finals because of MUs, you get good finals because of great players. Remember Squirtle vs MVP? If MVP wins Cloud Kingdom (which was a close game) it's 4-0. If MVP attacks at the right time with BCs or gets that EMP on the Mothership, it's 4-1. Well, Squirtle got outplayed in quite a bunch of games but came back.
MC got outplayed in quite a bunch of games. Let's see if he comes back or if it simply isn't his day. No, PvP is not fine. If things like this can happen vs a guy who has 80% win rate in PvP, then it's not fine. Very bad spectator wise. People talk that Tribes:Ascend isn't good to watch, well this isn't either. It's a failure from Blizzard. Actually, SeeD has gone rampage in the bracket, and it was upset after upset. I would call this another upset rather than a match up problem. If MC has a 80% win rate, where does it comes from ? A match up where the bad guy can win by coinflipping ? He wouldn't have such a high rate then.........
tribes ascend is impossible to watch lol. I see nothing wrong here. shit happens.
in MMA/UFC some champions beat everyone that comes to them, sometimes split second, just because that happens doesn't mean rules should be changed and stuff sheesh
i'm entertained, still rooting for MC but he's getting schooled hard right now.

"oh i better play to entertain, or i might not win as much money in the future" riiiiiiiiiiidiculous why is that ridiculous?
Because the whole concept of that screams "BITE ME ON THE ASS"
Plus the point of competition is to WIN, not to entertain.
You want infinitely sustainable entertainment? go watch WWE. They'll rig the matches for you so that the story never ends!

not entertaining at all

Not enough people are excited about getting a new Protoss champion.

Stop using logic, this is a finals LR thread when the fan favorite is losing. We all know that Seed is only winning because protoss is OP.

Seed has to be one of the most boring players ever. You may dont like that, but that is how he plays.

I dont know a lot about PvP so I´m gonna ask this:
MC decided to expand in game 2&3 and lost both times to one base play. Is that how PvP usually goes? Are 1 Base All Ins/Agression so hard to hold for the expanding player?

Oh look, it's that guy that hates me.

Caaaaaallled it. Well, your premise is totally wrong, Jjakji was looking unstoppable and way better than Leenock. Leenock had just won MLG Providence at the time, crushing everyone he faced. He was favored over Jjakji Winning MLG Providence has nothing on getting to the GSL finals, it's expected of a finalist to win foreign events, who says Leenock was favored?I thought otherwise.
I never said winning MLG had anything to do with getting to GSL finals, it just shows the skill level of Leenock at the time. Also considering how Jjakji TvT'd and TvP's his way to the finals, while Leenock pretty much TvZ'd his way there, I'd say Leenock was the favorite to win. Jjakji caused an upset, IMO.

Nestea vs. Inca was worse, right? Right?Right?!?!?!?!? This isn't bad at all. The fact that you considered this a bad finals shows how little you understand about the game. Some of us enjoy the flashier elements of the game, subtlety is great and all, but not when thats about all there is to the game. PvP is all about subtlty and delicacy though. One screw up and you're dead. Mindgames and reading your opponent are thus crucial. How do people not realise that by now?
I like the fragility of PvP, but we are seeing absolutely
NO
fragility in these games right now. These games are damn near decided before anything actually happens.
