The reason for low attendences are; - OGN don't advertise to foreigners (which is GSL's biggest draw) - No foreigners know how to get to the studio - Games tend to go on until late at night, I left during the second group's losers match so I could avoid the 20% taxi surcharge after midnight. - KeSPA players aren't playing

To be fair on byun he had thrown what should have been a ticket to the finals with that SCV pull.

Symbol was crushed when he losted against Seed as well... I think also maybe the camera is showing it more. Plus with Kespa players coming in, GSL players know the competition will ramp up again and they might not get as good chances like this again.

Like, for instance, if he hadn't decided to engage 4 Queens and a Spore with his Muta flock, he could've done so much more with them. I think Nestea would've lost to a top ZvZer like Leenock or DRG if he tried to play like this. I don't disagree that his form is off from what it used to be, but I still think there is a very, VERY short list of players who can take him down in a ZvZ series, and only a slightly larger list of people who can even take a game off of him. Granted his play was sloppy, but a lot of it came down to missing Yugi's spire timing. But as soon as he saw the mutas he made the best possible choices - keep attacking to keep them at home, make a few more queens + spores (not too many, only made 4 to start), get a hydra den so you don't die and transition to infestors. Textbook and solid, even if he didn't control perfectly or if he didn't scout 100% accurately. Yugi didn't play horribly, he just made a few mistakes and those cost him the game against someone who knows what to do.

Also, GSL are 2 months now so much more is invested. Last year, it was basically 1 per month so if you lost, you just say "I know I am good enough and I will make it next month". 2 months is double the time.

But it was just because he was so ahead of other zergs in mid 2011. I don't think it is him playing bad but rather others catching up. But by results, you still have to put him top 5 and really only DRG as #1 and you can argue about 2-4 (Symbol, Leenock(who had his own slump), Nestea)

I am not 100% sure about this but OSL usually does random draws where the top 4 seeds (top 4 in previous OSL) draw names out of a hat and they are split into groups and play a round robin with tie breakers if necessary. But since this is first OSL where GSL and Kespa players merge, not sure what they will do. Because it is possible that Flash and Zero won't even make it (they still have to play in the ODT. Maybe they have Jangbi, Fantasy, MVP, Nestea to draw? Or randomly have 2 Kespa + 2 GSL or full random (could have 3/1, 4/0 groups). I am sure the details will come out once the Kespa ODTs are done.
