His TvP is that good? I doubt it. I'll be rooting BIG TIME for Seed though. I don't want another Terran in the finals. I saw what happened last season.

What, that we had the best GSL finals ever? Yeah wouldn't want a repeat of that :p

And yes his TvP is stellar, it's basically the reason he got to the ro8 in the first place. He 2-0'd hero, and then 2-1'd Seed in his ro32 group. Then he beat Genius 2-1 in his ro16 group as well.

Last season the only hope protoss had about winning a GSL they had not won for 14 months disappeared with the last terran hope. And it was really not the best GSL finals at all. One match was outstanding but those Mvp all-ins were not really attractive at all. So no I wouldn't want a repeat of that at all.

dat foreigner bias, can't believe it's that strong. naniwa isn't exactly a loveable personality. Maybe it's just an underdog thing.

Naniwa is one of the few players who actually got a personality . . .

What? Did I read what you said wrong?

Can we now all sit back and think about what these games mean?

ZvT: The best player won. A Terran, with a 3-0. I honestly think any reasonable person who did not get on the "OMFG ZURG OHPEEE QQ" train, would predict a Buyn victory (As Haxxspetten said, no surprise here).

Now... what does this show? That a zerg who plays zerg by a-move will lose. That a zerg who does not make good transitions will die. That a zerg who is outpositioned by a terran will lose a slow death. Unless they make broods, when they will be contested by multi-pronged chaotic attacks, easier done than defended.

What does this mean? That a good terran will beat a lesser zerg. And 3-0 means it can be done consistently.

And of course there are people who fail to understand that their statement "This shows that a zerg has to mess up for terran to win" is absolutely rubbish. EVERY SINGLE LOSS in a game where there is no luck factored was a mess-up from the loser. Even a BO loss is a mess-up at the decision of the loser. Every loser makes mistakes. Otherwise there would be an algorithm than if followed precisely would lead to 100% victory chance for a player, regardless of what the opponent does.

Indeed. I actually straight out dislike the guy but I will still root for him like I've never rooted before.

Last few zergs ive seen trying to make ling/bling/muta work (nestea and july) have just been dumped on.
I feel like byun did play better than nestea that game, but if nestea had gon inf with his early lead i dont think byun couldve caught up.

Yeah but why does every Zerg on EU knows this and makes Infestors every game and top Koreans stick with their mutas? I just dont get it what makes them use mutas.

Nestea in his interview stated, that he thinks infestor is better but just out of habit goes mutas again and again.

I would not be surprised if nestea just didn't practice or haven't been playing sc2 at all recently. He just isn't following the meta perfectly, and his creep spread is kinda bad

So, not to take anything away from Byun, but is this is really sloppy by GOM. Just putting it out there again....

Well to be fair the games with the neutral depots were weeks ago (the Tree vs Byun game was last season). Jjakji vs Monster, while it was this season, was played nearly 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure, but GOM seem to have made a conscious decision to remove the neutral depots and I would assume they informed their players.

Could be a decent explanation. They should inform us as well then. And Tastosis :p

TERRAN CANT WIN ZERG OP BLAH BLAH BLAH

Nestea gets 3-0'd ...

The issue that players like Mvp and MKP brought up was that at equal skill levels T can't win.

Not saying I agree with all that, but Byun is currently a much better player than Nestea. download any recent replay pack. Nestea plays with 150 epm while Drg, Symbol, and even Byun play at 200+.

When Nestea goes to foreign tournaments he doesnt even do well and is outclassed by other korean zergs.

That assumes that who is the better player is an objective fact and not situational at all.

The better player is who won, isn't it?

there was no neutral supply depot...

on any given day a palyer could be sick, could have gotten bad sleep, maybe have sore wrist that day e.t.c

winning one set agaisnt someone once doesnt make you better then them

if beating them doesn't mean you're better, what does?

ffs

it makes you better than them at that time, which is all that matters
tournament is to judge the best player currently anyway

now can we stop arguing -_-

OKAY FROM THAT PERSPECTIVE I SEE WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT
