Clearly, because he's a foreigner who used to be BM and 7 probe rushed Nestea this one time, and even though he has become much more humble (comparatively) and respectful (definitely) of his opponents, he is just a bad allin foreigner protoss who can't actually hang with koreans and gets by through a combination of luck and his opponents derping. It's not actually his own skill level - if his opponents played like they would against any normal korean, he would easily be Code B.
/sarcasm no but Naniwa is still a rude little man Naniwa may be just a tiny bit anti-social, and that is probably magnified when in front of huge crowds of people and on livestreams that are being watched by thousands of people. I remember not liking him at first, but watching him closely reveals things about him that I think are pretty interesting. He seems to think extremely quickly at all times. When sitting in the booth he was twitching and moving around ridiculously fast (compared to DRG who was barely moving at all). I got the impression that his mind was completely racing. Considering his cerebral style of play, maybe he is just a more introverted and intellectual type of guy who doesn't value things like propping up some superficial image of himself. I kinda respect that. no but pretty much everyone saids that in private Naniwa is a pretty rude guy, watch JP real talk IdrA he goes into details on how horrible a person Naniwa is cause idra's such a great guy, anyone he doesn't like must be a horrible person. Haha seriously. I can't think of any other pro game who has a worse attitude than IdrA. When Naniwa loses he goes home, practices his ass off, invents new builds and changes the entire metagame. When IdrA loses he makes a web series called imbalance with Artosis, and then does as many interviews as possible complaining about how unfair shit is. the webshow he made while ripping apart Koreans in Code S? and generally being a baller in Korea? Naniwa is making Ro8 Code S twice in a row and will be in Code S next season too. I'm not even a fan of Naniwa but you can't deny that the guy has balls of steel and is easily one of the best protoss in the world. Idra isn't even the best US zerg these days. God knows why the guy has so many fans. It's like being a fan of Titus Bramble ffs. ive never said Naniwa wasnt a good starcaft player all i said was hes a terrible human being Yeah man. Being socially awkward and a bit BM makes you a terrible human being. Get some perspective. There are people out there who order the deaths of thousands of people just for the sake of a few feet of land or have peoples hands cut off for stealing apples. They are terrible human beings. Naniwa is just rude.
That or they are similar but drew different lots in life. I'm not trolling, just playing devil's advocate.
We can't know how we'd act in a complete different circumstance.

So what. It's IdrA. It's one grade A dickhead mouthing off about another grade A dickhead. Who cares? Only reason IdrA fans feel butthurt about Naniwa is because Naniwa is a Code S level player who is quite rightly telling IdrA where to stick his opinions.

Yeah, "foreigners are one"... why would they? I was personnally cheering for Nani but I can find myself rooting for the korean vs. a foreigner. Not if the foreigner is french, ofc, then it's different because it's my country, but I don't see why I would HAVE to hate koreans and love swedes

No you're not trolling, just heavily implying that Naniwa is somehow comparable to a genocidal dictator because he's a bit BM to people on ladder and gets ranty when he doesn't feel he's being respected. Seriously.

Most Players are still young and people should always give them a 2nd chance like, I think, almost all of us did with ByuN and Coca. I struggled a little bit with my decision until today but I am now 100% behind NaNiwa.

What's the point with all this "patriotism" debate. Can't we just cheer for the player we want to win ?
I was cheering for Nani because I wanted a foreigner to do well in GSL, not because I am not Korean....

I'm Italian...why would I want a Swede to win? Your analogy makes no sense. Should I root for Cloud to win the GSL then?
