can you play like taeja? and do you expect the average player to?
Who cares about the average player? You can't balance around them
He's saying you shouldn't have to micro perfectly as terran to win whereas toss just constantly switches between collosi and archons and waits for the terran army composition to be not perfect so they can a move to victory
You don't have to micro perfectly, Taeja did not that game though it was good, and MCs switches and compositions are much better than the average player as well, Terran would not have to micro perfectly to beat an average toss

Nope. Ridiculously bad micro by MC lost him this game.
Taeja continually threw away ghosts and vikings, I don't see why thats good micro.
Maybe that is why you are not in gsl round 8 and taeja is?
Leave the ignorant in their nirvana! Vikings are meant to be thrown away in the effort to snipe the colossi and protect your army.
He threw them away by landing them, they then died to zealots because he was too careless to lift them.
Don't call me ignorant when you can't even be bothered paying attention to what happened in the game.
Meanwhile he was microing against possible storms, spreading to make sure the colossi didn't deal too much AOE damage and sniped or EMP'd all or nearly all of the templar before they stormed. Oh and macroing, then attacking the 4th with his cloaked ghosts. Try engaging 4 colossi with 1 viking and see how it goes champ, you have no clue what happened.
There were no Colossi, thats why the vikings were landed, also the gohsts were with his army, the vikings were attacking the fourth. He lost them all to MCs army AFTER the battle.
Were you even watching this game? Jesus christ.
IN THE ENGAGE AT THE FOURTH
How can you be so ignorant, you're just trolling I'm done.
How do people forget MC was behind right from the start of the game? He went for a Sentry-Blink All-in that didn't even pick off the ground. No Protoss wants to be in that position in the start, it's amazing he almost won it.

On July 11 2012 21:20 PesteNoire wrote: How many fights does Terran have to win to beat protoss late game?
All fights! If you loose one, he is at your door and you dont have instant warp in to defend.
it's because TaeJa was on 59 the whole game, while MC was at 79. With that kind of economic deficit, TaeJa absolutely had to win multiple engagements to compensate. Basically, if he ever lost an engagement, he would lose the game
I get what you're saying but with that many orbitals and mules the income isn't that much different. It has more to do with protoss being able to instantly warp in 15 zealots as soon as they lose a battle so terran cant continue to push after winning a major battle. If terran gets wiped out in a battle, they are screwed usually
He only had 3 orbitals, which is about the smallest number you'll ever see in a TvP at that stage. You really want around 65-70 as terran. MULEs help obviously but in TvP at that stage you don't even have the luxury of dropping MULEs because you need to be able to scan constantly and know where their templar and overall army is
On July 11 2012 21:33 SeeKeR wrote: Why TaeJa's control was good:
Did you notice how he CONSTANTLY had to split all of his units? Storms are the death of Terrans. So they have to always split units. But when the army attacks, they group up again. TaeJa made sure they were always split.
MC did blunder up quite a bit but he backed it up with sick macro and timings.
TaeJa won because he did not lose his entire army in 1 single engagment like most TvPs
Now can we stop the whining and hating?
Both players did great. One did better. Period
EDIT: My bad. Should've said "loose his entire army"

He has a point, the amount of whines, espically recently is getting out of control.
