I like Nerchio man, nothing against him. I just said that this smile was so much like him making fun of his opponent. Trolling and provocation is really normal, but you have to do it in a certain way, in front of your opponent and not like this, smiling alone as if you were making fun of your opponent. Now maybe I'm thinking too much, but I know asian people (I'm not but I've lived in Japan for 8 years) actually really really care about that. You can make fun, troll and provoke your opponent, but there is a way to do it. Showing respect is the most important thing. So now it's ok, it's HSC, everyone is having fun and Nerchio certainly did (EDIT: I meant did not) do that on purpose, but still I have the right to give my opinion and say I didn't really liked his smile at that moment. Is this a joke?
Do people like you really exist? o_o

Immortal/Sentry loses to the Muta build Nerchio used even harder than what MC did. Straight up +2 Blink does beat it though, which is why we occasionally see it, even though it's not that good against standard Zerg play.

He has showed he can handle robo play, stargate play, gateway allins. And he has has played with roaches, ling/infestor, muta. Very impressive. Meh, the only thing this series should convince anyone of is that MC has his down days. He played too poorly for this to reflect too greatly on Nerchio, although his reactions to MC's mistakes were certainly proficient. Oh great here we go again foreigner beats a top korean, korean played poorly stop that bs please So youre saying he didnt? Mc lost with some pretty silly allins and barely won after holding an 8 pool while taking no damage. He didnt play well, I dont see how one can even argue this.. Im still confused by MCs play, is he so afraid of playing macro against zergs? And yeah, nerchio played that well but the last game was a buildorder win which is always lucky to some degree, why cant some people just accept this? Lets see how Yongwa does :/ Dude, MC has always played like this. It works most of the time but when it doesn't people call it "horrible play" but when it does everybody's like "MC is the best protoss!!!! yadayadayada!". No, you're getting slightly confused. If you watch MC play regularly you could see his play today wasn't his top form. He made bad decisions, he went for a base trade in the last game without a probe outside his base, he spent the minerals he needed to make a pylon outside. You can nitpick many other examples, even his forcefields didn't look as good as usual. While it's true MC goes for 2-base allins a lot vs zerg, he's usually better at decision making which is what normally wins him games, alongside his micro. Basically, you can play 2-base allins well, or you can play badly, using the same build, and you get extremely different results, this is an example of the latter. This obviously doesn't mean Nerchio didn't play well, he did very nicely and got the job done, defending appropriately and responded well without overextending. People think saying a player didn't play his best is some sort of insult to the winner. Of course it isn't, if the winner had played bad he might have lost despite of his opponents mistakes. Nerchio played excellent that series. One doesn't exclude the other.
First you say that I am getting slightly confused and then you move onto agreeing with post, wtf?

Nonsense. MC played really well and Nerchio beat him. Give the man some credit, he just beat the bosstoss. I just said he was extremely hot this tournament, how is that not giving credit?
Nothing about MCs play showed any sign of his normal dominant play. It looked almost as if it was Mvp playing and trying to win as quickly as possible while failing miserably.

You will never see a player lose, and them just go: damn he played real good, its always 'i messed up', etc no recognition ever Because I doubt any player in sport would say, I played my very best ever in losing, probably for whatever reason they felt they messed up, or did something wrong, people make mistakes. I doubt Robben is thinking that he played his best when he missed his penalty to lose the champions league
Maybe not in the top tier echelon of sports. But at least where I live, its not uncommon to praise a person for something that was awesome. Ive been at many LANs, we handshake, and generally congratulate and talk about the game afterwards. IDK, i get what your saying. Im just more of a fan of a person who takes that loss and just goes 'good job, next time i'll make sure it doesn't happen again'. But sc2 pro's dont do that often, and are more arrogant/bm i find.

Maybe Blizzard will realize that PvZ needs attention if Nerchio rolls Yonghwa....
Hmm...who to cheer for?

MC really should have just been playing macro here. I feel he's the better macro player overall, his warp prism harass and all that did a ton of damage to Nerchio. Should have just outmultitasked him and whatnot. Oh well, GG Nerchio.

This is getting stupid. He smiled, what else do you expect someone to do when they win? They are so many ways to be happy with your win and show respect imo. I think you're the one getting stupid trying to make something big about me saying I was not really fond of this way to smile on his seat. Just a small remark. If he once come to the country I live in, I wouldn't recommend him doing this, even if it's really not a big matter. Just a small remark man, relax.
