Pure luck of course. I'm not sure MC is the best toss on the planet, and even though my favourite players are all koreans, I've always loved Nerchio's style and I've always trusted his chances against good korean players. No luck indeed.

Barely any Protoss players macro against Zerg because it's a lost cause. Just train against 2base all-ins and you'll be fine. Who says they don't...

Nechio is around the same level as Stephano anyway, flawed logic withstanding.

Nerchio would have to win a couple more things before he could stake that claim. From your point of view, which is judging current skill from tournaments which happened in the last 6 months, I agree. But my point of view is that SC2 is very very volatile and that only less than a month results matter. It's a recent change in my mind, but check MVP, he was top a month ago & this month he's average.

Because some of them just look like fish out of water when a Protoss all-ins them.

It would be weird to not play the style you are most comfortable and had most succes with, but as Bly said, Nerchio is just so good at defending them and does never hesitate to basetrade or something. I don't understand what's wrong with MC all-ining. 2 base all-ins are more standard than "macro" play in PvZ currently so what's the problem?

You misunderstand, I don't say it was bad for him to be happy and show it, but this smile, it looked so much like he was making fun of MC so badly. I've nothing against him, just to say I wouldn't be too happy if I just lost and saw my opponent showing this kind teasing smile. I wouldn't blame my opponent but still it would make me a bit angry inside.

He didnt play well, I dont see how one can even argue this.. Im still confused by MCs play, is he so afraid of playing macro against zergs? And yeah, nerchio played that well but the last game was a buildorder win which is always lucky to some degree, why cant some people just accept this? Lets see how Yongwa does :/ Its simple really. MC underestimated Nerchio. There were alot of causes. But lets go back to before this match started. MC went into this having 'smashed' Nerchio many times, with both Protoss and Terran. I dont believe he had ever lost to Nerchio. Nerchio is top 3 foreign zerg, who is good at 'all-in's. MC played into Nerchios comfort zone, while underestimating him. Thats the best recipe for an upset. And we got one. MC y so arrogant sometimes??? he has the best macro pvz, idk why he only plays macro pvz vs stephano and drg ![]() gratz nerchio
