Also to everyone who said that Taeja is the best player in the world at the moment, Seed just beat him.
But nonetheless, TL is one of the best and well coordinated and composed foreign team of all time.
And how did Taeja get Mvp? It should have been Seed. Oh well, pity trophy I guess.
Teaja beat Seed in the first Bo9 and it was MVP of the tournament... Teaja won over 20 matches, definitely deserving the mvp award

Don't know if troll ... Taeja all-killed IM in the first Bo9 and then proceeded to take more wins off of them in the second best of 9. Taeja was playing for almost 10 hours straight today, and is more deserving of the MVP award than anybody else, including Seed or the entire IM team.
Obvious troll, mayun. Let it be.

Not just that but we could barely hear the crowd at all. (and not necessarily because they're quiet)
At any rate, TaeJa had a sick good run, but Seed also played very well. Hope we get to see them again in Semis or even Finals this upcoming GSL. ^^

Second to Seed, who has won the GSL and beaten Taeja.

Between the technical difficulties, delays and this ceremony it's safe to say that other games have gotten priority over sc2. Unfortunate as they set expectations pretty high with IPL4 and GSTL finals.

No. Maybe, but not necessarily. Some really great games, though! He was the only one to stop taeja, and hes the current gsl champ, so yeah best player in the world ATM. GSL is one tournament, no offense I understand it's important but it's hardly the way of proving the best player in the world when they only play that one tournament.
Although I agree, but the prestige and honor of being the GSL champion kind of gives you right to be the "best player in the world" until the next GSL season starts. In this case, the GSL season won't be starting for a little bit because of WCS Korea, but give Seed his spotlight. He won a GSL, and just pulled through against the hottest player in the last few weeks (post Seed's GSL championship),

Haha too true. That was definitely one of the least heartfelt and entertaining ending ceremonies I've seen in anything. Was pretty awkward :/ Was a shame cause I found the games to be pretty damn hype

GSL is one tournament, no offense I understand it's important but it's hardly the way of proving the best player in the world when they only play that one tournament. That's like saying NBA is only one tournament, and it doesn't prove the winning team to be the best in the world cuz they only play that one tournament.
I guess technically, the only way to prove you are the best in the world is to play a Bo11 against every single SC2 progamer in the world.

That was like the most anti-climatic ending ever. Maybe its just because its 3:30 and I was too tired to really think about the games, but it seemed like Taeja just lost all his ghosts and vikings and Seed won, and then there was a PvP and suddenly it went from sickest run ever to awkward winners ceremony.

But it is without a doubt the highest level competition with the very best players in the world competing. To win it is a fucking awesome achievement. Also add the fact he went 1-1 with Taeja the best terran around atm, without the win against Taeja, Teamliquid surely would have won. So I repeat, Seed: Best player in the world ATM.

I don't understand the Seed best in the world argument... Taeja's match history recently is just insane ... Seed's isn't quite as impressive (yes he is really good but still look at what Taeja did today... went 7-1 against IM 2 of those wins being against gsl champs).. there have been people who won GSLs who aren't best in the world ...

Man, we need better cermonies in SC2 to celebrate winners.

I LOVED the event tho but just saying

Continuing to prove that he is the best in the world. Right behind Seed. The guy who went 1-1 with Taeja today and just won GSL.
After Taeja was so freaking exhausted. Yep, right behind seed xd

Taeja is the only good player on the team tbh ... You're right, GSL Code S Ro4 Hero is not a good player. Frankly in PvP he isn't a very good player. Seed outplayed him pretty harshly in that game. Don't get me wrong, there are quite a few players he could definitly beat, but he isn't that great at PvP (and he hasn't been in great form in general lately). I guess Taeja regrets letting that game slip through his fingers very badly right now. As a sidenote, did Hero pick that map? And if so, why did he pick a blink map if he wanted to go for a robo build? I'd hardly say Seed outplayed Hero. If anything, I was far more impressed by Hero's play that game with the stalker harass and those baller ffs(and that *almost* pylon block vs the zlots). Not to take anything from Seed though, he played really well, but *if*(and I know that's a big if) Hero hadn't lost all those units trying to get down the ramp, Hero would've been in a superb position. Oh sorry, I'm meant to inform you that this post doesn't conform to TL's archetypal LR thread standards.
Hero lost, ergo 'he's outclassed' 'overhyped' 'choker' etc. Seed now may be referred to as 'world's best player'. Don't forget to mention that TL is now a one man team!
In future if you adjust your posting to include more of what I've posted you'll go far.

well one thing is for damn sure, those of us who actually watched this monstrosity will never fucking forget it. honestly the IGN must be pissed at the crew for all the screw ups.
all in all a good finals, some laughs, but mostly just ads.

IPL really lucked out with the games and the EG/2GD commentary because their production was atrocious in multiple ways from start to finish.
Taeja played spectacularly (though I'm still not jumping on the "best player in the world" wagon just yet) and Seed proved his championship was no fluke. I feel bad for the rest of Liquid, but hopefully this motivates them to be "worthy" teammates for Taeja in team leagues.
