Saying that "every good player" is out is extremely disrespectful against the guys who remain in the tournament, and its also just plain wrong. These guys are very good, otherwise they wouldn't be beating these "superstars". What's the point you are trying to prove, these 'celebrity' players earned their status for a reason, look at their results.

For some reason i love those 40+ minute pvz's where the protoss is trying to figure out which way to attempt to break him. Seriously?? That is reason why ZvP is horrendous to watch. Both players turtling to Bls+infestors against tossdeathball+mothership vortex. Its fucking boring to watch .

Yes it does. That was not up to a debate, hydras just crush everything unupgraded GW based. Sentry/immortal, +1 zealots/sentry, you name it. They stop being useful when collosi enter the field though.

Just nerf marines. They are the reason why so many other units have to be op. But balance discussion doesnt belong here. We dont wanna get ourselves banned, do we? :p

The thing is, the professional gaming scene is much more laissez-faire in SC2 than BW was. The best players can come out of nowhere, they don't need a license, they don't need to even belong to a licensed team. They do not need to go through years of in-house rankings and training to qualify for their bosses to send them out to play for their team in an actual tournament setting. Great players simply emerge out of nowhere, and it stands above all, as a testament to the collective strength and variety of the region they belong to. They reflect the very real situation, that the Bnet ladder is seriously a place where some of the very best starcraft is played, enabling individual players to improve through simply their own perseverence. It simply happens that the grass roots activity of the player base in SC2 produces amazing players capable of defeating big name professionals on established rich teams. This isn't the first time, and it will most definitely not be the last time this happens at a Dreamhack!
