1. Which version of Daybreak is the tournament using (ladder / GSL)?? 2. Regarding the main invitational event, how will the prize money be paid? Through Paypal or other channel? 3. Regarding the main invitational event, which server the games will be played on if the players are from different server? 4. Is there anyway for Chinese players to participate in the qualifiers? If yes, which qualifers do they join? 5. In the OP, it says : You must live in the region in order to play in the qualifiers. What about Hong Kong citizens (a Chinese) with SEA version SC2, can they participate in the SEA qualifiers? Players in HK bought SEA version cuz we prefer English over Mandarin, and the connection is probably better for us.I apologise in advance if the information asked is posted somewhere else. Hope people can understand that I am new to the online tournament scene / . \ And thanks in advance for your reply ^^.

To answer your questions. 1 - GSL version 2 - Direct Bank deposit is our primary way (tax audit purposes) 3 - Server rules are being done up officially now by Frequency, in short the main server for this event is the Korean server, in cases like KR vs EU and US vs EU I believe the server used will be NA. 4 - Chinese players can participate in the Korean Qualifier this time around, if there is enough interest I will work on a Chinese qualifier for our next event 5 - I spoke with frequency, we are OK with players in that situation to play in the SEA qualifiers since it is their primary server.

I tried explaining it the last time but this is even worse (for the players, viewers, even you). You can't do it like this and then say "we can't break even" as if it was the universal truth :/ I do remember your posts and we did have discussion on your points however we decided on running the same format broadcast wise as the last event. There is double the amount of games to be broadcast since many of the players advised us the group into single elim is better for them. A main factor to our decision against weekend style tournaments as you suggested was TB's details he contributed about SCI4, which is a much more successful event than ours viewer wise. We are not perfect, but we will be consistently be evaluating our events, the change from our FIS4 event to FIS5 showed dramatic improvement, we are simply adjusting as we go, if this shows decline in interest then we will adjust accordingly again. I don't agree how this can be "worse" than any other format though. some reasoning below; The players - + Show Spoiler + Giving the players time to get their matches played actually reduces the pressure on them, especially with many players having difficult travel schedules. It gives them the option to play out everything in one weekend which most Koreans prefer to do, or stage it out as their schedule requires. This style of scheduling is no different to NASL or IPL in many aspects. The Viewers - + Show Spoiler + It gives a regular event to tune into as the tournament progresses, some prefer regular things some prefer weekend events, however there was constant growth during every broadcast during our last event peaking with our finals, If we saw differently I would happily agree with you that the broadcast format should be changed. Us - + Show Spoiler + I do not see any downside to this format for us, as you stated, many sponsorship models are advertising for awareness, the FXOpen marketing department has told us how much they believe the exposure is worth, If anything extending the format for more broadcast time for the same cost would show an increase in cost/effect leading to the possibility of more allowance for our events, along with other factors like advertising and such to further increase the investment. I am more than happy to elaborate on the reasoning and logic behind our format changes in detail if you wish via PM, If i find time I will do up a blog on it on our site shortly
